AN: Hey, y'all, sorry I haven't been posting as frequently! Life happens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But I hope you enjoy this chapter!
Kaeya watched as you fell to your knees and clutched your wrist, completely fixated on your new vision, which was surrounded by the wings of Favonius in its leather strap. He was frozen in place staring at his savior. He was fully expecting to be crushed to death by that Lawachurl, same as you. He was not, however, expecting this. He didn't know how to react, so he chose not to instead. All he did was mindlessly gaze at your trembling figure.
"Are you guys okay?" Amber asked, concerned, as she glided down to the two of you, Albedo close behind her. She gave you a confused look when neither of you reacted.
"Hellooo?" she said loudly and walked towards you. Then, she saw it. She gasped loudly.
"What?" Albedo asked in a concerned manner, quickly moving to your side. Then he saw it too.
"No way!" he shouted happily, "You finally got your vision!" Amber squealed in excitement and laughed as Albedo hugged your motionless body.
"This is amazing!" Amber exclaimed, kneeling to look and grabbing your sticky, bloody hand.
Her pulling made your head turn, so Kaeya was finally able to see your face. His blood drained from his body when he realized: you weren't smiling. Your mouth was agape in an absolute stunned awe, but other than that, your face was expressionless. The hot, burning fire Kaeya usually saw behind your eyes had disappeared. Your eyes looked dull and dark.
"Pyro vision club! Let's go!" Amber cheered as Albedo took your hand next to gaze at the orb. Your expression remained the same and your body still moved robotically.
"Guys..." Kaeya started, getting to his feet.
"Captain Kaeya, did you see? She got her vision!" Albedo chimed happily, thrusting your wrist towards him. Your body moved like a lifeless doll under their grasps. Kaeya's concern grew deeper.
"Yeah, I think-" he started, sounding worried, but was cut off by Amber gasping.
"Master Diluc is gonna be so happy!" she squealed, "We all have the same element!" She quickly yanked you into a tight hug and stood up, pulling you to your feet. When Amber let go, your arms swung dead to your sides.
"Guys..." Kaeya tried again a little louder. Albedo grabbed your bloody hand again to look at the little flame on the orb.
"And it looks like a watch!" he chuckled, "Because you're always late! This is perfect!" Amber laughed too, but you and Kaeya stayed silent.
"How did it happen?" Amber asked. There was a long moment of silence as everyone waited for you to answer. But you couldn't. You didn't even feel in control of your own body right now. It was like you were living outside of your own brain.
"She saved me," Kaeya answered quietly, cutting through the silence like a sharp knife. Amber and Albedo immediately "aw'ed" and ran to each other, grabbing hands happily.
"They're friends!" they said excitedly at the same time.
"WE'RE NOT FRIENDS!" you screamed, enraged, bursting both into life and into flames at the same time.
Everyone took a quick step back from you, surprised looks on all their faces. Not only were you enshrouded in flames, but there was something else. Unlike the red orb on your wrist, the fire surrounding you was blue. You were so angry you didn't even care. Kaeya thought he might pass out. Albedo and Amber's eyes sparkled in excitement.
Your body definitely felt warm, but not hot, despite the flames licking off your body. The edges of your clothes also ignited, turning to burning embers. The wound on your side was cauterized by the flames, which you thought would be painful, but you still just felt an all-consuming warmth.
