AN: Merry Christmas to my lovely readers. ❤️ I hope you have the most incredible day even if you don't celebrate! You deserve it!!
"Vengeance, huh?" you mused, leaning in closer to the blue haired girl next to you in the booth of the Angel's Share, "And how exactly would this vengeance be enacted?" You smirked drunkenly at her, her cheeks lighting up even redder than they already were in her similarly intoxicated state.
"Well, it wouldn't be as effective if I told you how, now would it?" Eula flirted back, casually resting her hand on your knee. You pursed your lips to hide a smile, swaying a bit.
This was your first Thirsty Thursday in a while, and you had decided to really go all out. Shots, wine, cocktails, and ale had been flowing ever-steadily for you and Mona, who you shot a look from across the bar. She was leaned up against a wall, a strong-looking adventurer towering over her, smiling lustfully. She shot you a wink and a few air kisses, then mimed taking a drink with her thumb and pinky finger. Understanding her signals, you excused yourself from Eula, who gave your thigh a gentle squeeze as you slid out of the booth and walked towards the bar where Mona was waiting for you. You sighed contentedly and leaned your waist back against the bar.
"God I missed these nights," you remarked, slurring slightly, "And to think I stopped doing them because of fucking Timaeus." You and Mona both faux gagged and choked at the notion, quickly breaking into giggles as you waited for the very busy Diluc to have time to take your orders.
"Hell yes!" Mona laughed drunkenly, "Glad to have you back, Captain Y/N." She sloppily did the Knights of Favonius salute, causing your giggling to turn into cackles as you leaned on each other for balance. "How's it going with Eula?" she asked suggestively, bouncing her eyebrows. You flipped to face the bar nonchalantly and shrugged coyly.
"I thought I'd be out of practice," you admitted, "but she's the..." you paused to count on your fingers, "fourth person I've kissed tonight. So I have options." Mona squealed excitedly.
"What now?" Diluc's voice boomed, startling Mona, "How many shots this time?" You tapped your chin as if you were thinking hard about the answer.
"Well I wasn't going to get a shot, but now that you mention it..." Diluc rolled his eyes.
"Bye," he stated and began to walk away. You and Mona giggled shrilly and caught him by the sleeve to pull him back.
"Just one more for each of us," you ordered pleadingly, batting your eyelashes, "And a glass of wine for me."
"Ooh! Me too!" Mona chimed in. Diluc stared you both down, his mouth in a straight line. After a second, he broke, a puff of amusement releasing from his nostrils as a tiny smile appeared on his lips. When he had finished making your drinks, he set them in front of you. You scrunched your eyebrows in confusion.
"Three shots?" you asked. Diluc nodded and raised one, holding it loosely between his middle finger and thumb. Your jaw dropped, then you and Mona broke into joyful screams, jumping up and down in glee. Diluc playfully rolled his eyes again as other patrons glanced over.
"What's the occasion?" Mona inquired excitedly.
"I'm just excited to see Y/N acting like herself again," Diluc enunciated loudly over the din of the crowd in the small space.
"Agreed!" Mona shouted, giving you a friendly kiss on the cheek.
"I'm so honored," you commented, slurring while you wiped fake tears from the corners of your eyes.
"Just hurry up and make a toast before I change my mind," he replied, finally letting his genuine smile crack through. You lifted the small glass and thought a moment.
