"There she is," Diluc said fondly as you entered the Angel's Share and approached the bar, "Come on. Let's see it." You giggled as he extended his hand, gesturing for you to give him yours. You complied after climbing onto a barstool, placing your palm upon his so he could inspect your new vision on your wrist. He gazed at the object for a moment before looking up to you, smiling lightly.

"Very nice," he commented, "Congratulations."

"Thank you," you replied bashfully, "Question, though... Do you ever, I don't know, burst into flames when-"

"When I sneeze?" Diluc finished, pouring you a drink, "I nearly burnt down the winery during hay fever season as a child." He chuckled and placed the glass in front of you.

"You'll get the hang of it in no time," he assured you, then tapped the glass of the drink, "On the house." You smiled and thanked him again as he poured Mona a glass of wine.

"What about me? Do I get a drink on the house?" Mona asked overtly sweetly while batting her eyelashes at the red-headed bartender. Diluc looked at her flatly.

"No," he answered simply, then walked away. Mona sighed wearily and sipped her wine.

"I don't understand how you cracked that guy," she muttered, "He's so serious except when you're around." You shrugged.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend," you replied, also drinking from your cup while watching Diluc work.

"Hey, Y/N," a voice interjected. You turned to see your long-time crush leaning against the bar next to you, smiling warmly.

"T-Timaeus! Hey!" you replied, feeling your face start to get warm. You silently prayed to Barbatos you wouldn't spontaneously combust again. Across the tavern, your favorite bard turned to look at you curiously.

"What an interesting request..." he mumbled.

"I heard you got your vision," Timaeus remarked with a twinge of something strange in his voice. You realized quickly that the strange tone was because he was flirting with you. Your blush deepened from pink to red as the fantasy you had ran through your mind.

"Y-yeah, I did," you answered while chuckling nervously, "it happened up on Dragonspine. I guess word travels pretty fast in this town, huh?" He laughed lightly with you and took another step closer.

"Can I see it?" he asked shyly, extending his hand. Your heart instantly started beating extremely fast.

"Of course," you answered, raising your hand to place it in his.

It was like the world was moving in slow motion. It was happening! Timaeus was about to touch you! You tried not to pass out on the spot. You slowly lowered your hand into his palm, preparing yourself. His fingers surrounded yours as he gently pulled your wrist closer to his face. But something was wrong.

You frowned watching him inspect your vision. His hand was cold and clammy. Your skin began to crawl as your body felt cold. You stifled a shudder. It took everything in your power not to pull your hand back. Your heart slowed to normal and you felt everything in your body tense up. This was not what you had fantasized.

"That's so cool," he commented cheerfully, finally raising his eyes to look at you. You quickly switched your face back to pleasant and chuckled sheepishly. He smiled at you, keeping your hand in his. Surprisingly, you found yourself wishing he hadn't.

"Listen," he continued nervously as you gulped, "I was wondering... would you maybe want to go get dinner some time? Just the two of us?"

You froze. This was exactly what you had always dreamed of. This was what you had been vying for. Years of praying. So why... did it feel wrong?
