"Kaeya, I can't do this. I'm gonna sneeze again," you said quickly, scrambling down from the ladder leaning against the large bookshelf in the Knights of Favonius library. You ran to the center of the room, away from any flammable materials, and breathed deeply, trying to suppress the sneeze.
"Bless you," Kaeya threw out casually from his spot underneath the ladder where he laid reading a novel. He had stacked up a couple books to make himself a pillow so he could laze about reading while you actually did the work cleaning the shelves.
"ACHOO!" you finally sneezed, engulfing yourself in blue flames for a second. You evened your breathing after the sneeze and the flames quickly dissipated. Kaeya chuckled at you as you returned to the ladder and climbed back up. You picked up the duster off the shelf and continued to clean.
"This is going to take us all day if you don't help," you grumbled irritatedly. Kaeya sighed, gazing up at you from the floor as he rested the opened book on his chest.
"Yeah, but then I wouldn't get the amazing view," he said suggestively, "Great wardrobe choice with the skirt today, by the way." You looked through the rungs at his smirking grin, feeling your face turn red as you squeezed your thighs together.
"You fucking pervert," you spat, jumping down off the ladder, "Scoping out more pairs of my underwear you're going to steal and add to the shrine of me you have hidden in your closet?" Kaeya laughed out loud. Hearing his genuine laugh again sent a fiery feeling through your bones.
"Who told you about that?" he asked sarcastically, picking up his book again and shooting you a mischievous look over the top of the pages, "You were never supposed to find out." You locked eyes with him, trying to glare, but unable to fully keep your smile from pushing though. You crossed your arms and kneeled, sitting on your heels to get on his level.
"I'm serious," you stated, still forcing back a smile, "You're supposed to be helping me. You're the one who wanted to do this commission." Kaeya blew out his lips and placed the opened book over his face.
"That's because I didn't think Lisa would actually make us work," his muffled reply came from underneath the novel he was perusing. You lifted the book off his face and leaned over him.
"Please?" you asked as nicely as you could, making a pleading, pouting face. He gazed at you for a second, staring at your features. He felt a jolt through his body, a warm feeling emanating from his chest and fizzling out to his limbs. He smirked.
"Or..." he started in a low voice, propping himself up on his elbows to get his face close to yours, "We could say fuck it and go fool around in that janitor's closet over there." He gestured with his head to the library's cleaning closet, which Lisa had given you the keys to. You eyed the closet and then looked back down at him. You brought your face closer to his.
"You'll just say or do anything to get out of work, won't you?" you remarked softly, then stood up and walked away from him, picking up a couple books off the floor nearby. Kaeya also got to his feet and leaned against the bookshelf by the ladder as you climbed up and placed the books on the shelf.
"Yes, but think about the opportunity here," he argued, "Everyone has a fantasy about fucking in a janitor's closet. It's a fact. Don't tell me that you don't." You paused and inhaled sharply.
"I used to," you admitted quickly, then changed the topic, pointing at the rest of the books that belonged on the shelf, "Can you please hand me those?" Kaeya eyed you suspiciously.
"What do you mean by 'used to'?" he asked. A light pink blush appeared on your cheeks.
"I'll tell you if you hand me those books," you replied sweetly, leaning down off the ladder towards him.
