"Good morning!" Amber cheerily exclaimed while flipping eggs as you exited the tent. You didn't have the energy to say anything until your eyes settled on the coffee pot in Albedo's hand.

"Coffee," you grunted and sat by the fire. Albedo handed the coffee pot to Kaeya, who filled a tin mug with the black liquid. He took a drink from the cup, then extended it to you. You were too tired to even react and took the mug in both hands. Kaeya filled his own mug and set the pot back in the fire.

"Good, no poison," you mumbled, taking a long drink of the warm, bitter liquid.

"Um," Amber started, furrowing her eyebrows at you in confusion, "what the fuck?" Albedo's expression mirrored hers.

"Why did you just drink out of a mug he drank from?" Albedo asked, sounding disgusted and confused.

"So she knows it's not poisoned," Kaeya answered plainly, shrugging a bit. You were too tired to comment, but nodded and continued nursing the mug in your hands. Amber's eyes widened and seemed to sparkle as she looked from you to Kaeya and back to you again.

"You guys have a thing!" she squealed giddily, "This is adorable! You two are gonna be friends!" You immediately shot daggers at your friend.

"I did catch them having 'a nice conversation' by the fire last night," Albedo mused, smirking gloatingly at the two of you, who refused to make eye contact with him nor each other.

"It's working! Jean was right!" Amber giggled, "You're friends!"

"Shut up, we're not friends," you mumbled grumpily. You felt your face getting hot. You glanced at Kaeya, whose face was also starting to redden.

You tried not to think about last night. It was a fluke. You were upset and he used comforting you as an excuse to be a whore and you stupidly fell for his trickery. There wasn't anything there, it was just a matter of circumstance. But still, as you thought about the feeling of his hand in yours, that warm tingly feeling spread throughout your body. And that lead to thinking about his fingertips grazing the skin of your face. Which lead to you picturing how his lips looked and how close they were to yours.

"Teyvat to Y/N!" Amber called and waved a hand in front of your face, shaking you out of your daydream, "I think you just fell asleep with your eyes open." You cleared your throat.

"I'm really tired," you replied weakly, still staring at the ground, but hyper aware of Kaeya's eye fixated on you, "I was up late writing a letter to my mom." You took another long drink from your mug. "But the coffee is helping."

"The coffee that wasn't poisoned by your friend~," Amber cooed, leaning on you and jabbing you with her elbow. You stood up quickly, leaving nothing to support Amber's weight, and she crashed to the ground. Albedo and Kaeya laughed. You downed the rest of your coffee and grabbed your pack.

"Alright, I'm ready to go," you stated, "Let's get this tent packed up."

Your friends and Kaeya finished eating breakfast and drinking coffee and then helped you do just that. The plan for today was to help Albedo paint the Frost-Arm Lawachurl by distracting it for him while also not getting your asses kicked. Amber would be up on the ridge shooting pyro arrows at it while you and Kaeya kept it facing Albedo, who would be next to Amber painting. Once Amber's arrows had destroyed its shield, you and Kaeya would take the monster out.

"Try not to slip on the ice today, Captain Kaeya," Albedo shouted down to the two of you from his position on the ridge.

"Yeah, yeah!" Kaeya yelled back sarcastically and approached the large monster, provoking it. It climbed to its feet and roared as Kaeya jumped back to your side, drawing his sword. You unsheathed your sword as well.
