"So does this girlfriend have a name?" I asked as me and he party was walked up the big hill.

"Yea, Suzie with a Z." Dustin said.

"That's awesome D." I smiled.

I felt a hand grab mines and looked to see Max smiling at me.

"Do you think he actually have a girlfriend?" Max asked.

"Kinda, I just don't know why we have to do all of this . Like why can't we just call her on the phone." I said slightly groaning.

"Dustin are we almost there yet this bag is giving middle aged back problems." I complained.

"Do you want me to hold it?" Max asked.

"No it's fine Rose." I said smiling at the red head.

"Hey guys!" Mike said making us stop and turn around.

"This is really fun and all...but, uh..." Mike trailed off.

"I have to go home." El said cutting him off.

"But we're almost there." Dustin said.

"Sorry man curfew." Mike said.

"Good luck." El said grabbing Mike's hand walking down the hill.

"Liars! It's four in the fucking afternoon!" I yelled at them and Mike just flipped me off.

"It's such bullshit." Will said coming up next to me.

"yea-" I said but stopped myself when I felt that weird feeling in my stomach again I felt at the movie theaters. I looked at Will and he had the same look on his face as me. We both looked at each other with scared looks as Max called our names.

"Lola! Will!" Max yelled and we both broke eye contact catching up with everyone else.

After what felt like forever we were finally at the top of the hill. I dramatically dropped the bag flopping on the ground.

"Made it." Dustin said.

"Yeah, only took five hours." Max said sitting next to me.

"Why couldn't we just play D&D?" Will groaned.

"Exactly! We haven't played in forever." I groaned.

"I'm thirsty." Lucas said grabbing the canteen drinking all the water making me stare at him.

"Dude. Did you seriously just drink all of our water?" Max asked.

Lucas looked at Max with an sorry look and spit the water back into the canteen handing it to her. I smiled at him grabbing the canteen and splashed the water onto his shirt.

"What the fuck!" Lucas screamed.

"wHat THe fuCk." I mocked him and threw the canteen back at him and Max laughed.

After a couple more hours we finally got done building Dustin Cerebro.

"Pretty Impressive right?" Dustin asked.

"Yeah." Max said.

"Mmhm." I hummed laying on my stomach with my eyes closed.

"Now, you ready to meet my love?" Dustin smiled.

I opened my eyes and everyone else except Dustin sat down on the grass.

"Suzie, this is Dustin. Do you copy? Over." Dustin said into the walkie.

We all waited for a response but it was just static.

"One sec. She's probably....uh. She's still there." Dustin said.

"Suzie. This is Dustin. Do you copy? Over." He repeated.

There was still static on the other end making all of us look at each other.

"I'm sure she's still there. It's just-" Dustin started.

"Yeah." Lucas said cutting him off.

"You know, maybe she's like, busy or-" Dustin started again.

"Yeah." Lucas said cutting him off again.

"It's around dinner time." Dustin said.

"Mmhm." Lucas hummed shaking his head.

I fixed my head onto Max's lap closing my eyes.

This is going to be a long night.

I woke up to Max running her hand through my hair. I opened my eyes to see that we were still outside and it was now dark outside and Dustin was still trying to contact Suzie.

"Come on Dustin she's obviously not there!" Max yelled.

"She's there alright? She'll pick up." Dustin argued.

"Maybe cerebro doesn't work." Will said.

"Or maybe Suzie doesn't exist." Lucas said standing up.

"She exist!" Dustin yelled.

"She's a genius, and she's hotter than Phoebe Cates? No girl is that perfect." I said sitting up and heard Max scoff.

"Is that so?" Max said crossing her arms.

"I m-mean yeah. You're perfect in your o-on w-way." I stuttered out.

"Chill I was joking. And Dustin is obviously lying." Max laughed standing up.

Max put out her hand for me to grab and I grabbed her hand standing up.

"Where are you guys going?" Dustin asked.

"Home." Max said and started walking down the hill.

"I'm glad your home D. Welcome back." I said following Max Lucas and Will soon coming after.
