Savannah sat on the edge of her hospital bed, her eyes filling with tears. Where was Seb? He'd told her he'd be there that morning, yet three hours after he'd been expected there was still no sign of him.

The doctors had just been with her CT results. Her brain bleed had cleared up and they'd given her the all clear to go home. The trouble was she was relying on Seb to drive her. She decided to give him another hour and then she would get the hospital to call home and one of her parents would have to come and pick her up.

She couldn't wait to get out of the hospital. She just wanted to be at home, in her own bed, in her husband's arms, surrounded by her loved ones. With Casey missing they all needed to be together, to support each other. She stood up and walked over to the en-suite bathroom. She went in and stood in front of the wash basin, looking at herself in the mirror that hung over it. Her eye was almost fully open now and it was all the colours of the rainbow. It would heal though, her heart wouldn't. Not if Casey was never found, or if she was found too late. Would Christian really harm her? He'd never laid a finger on the kids before, but he'd really seemed unhinged this time. She began to cry again. Where was Seb? She needed him. She didn't want to be alone.

She heard a knock on the door of her room. She left the bathroom and sat on the bed, calling out to whoever it was to come in. She smiled as she saw a pair of familiar faces looking back at her.

"Antti, Maddy!" The pair had been in to see her a couple of times but this was a surprise. She hadn't been expecting them. Maddy crossed the room quickly and sat next to Sav, hugging her tightly. Antti smiled but Savannah noticed immediately that he looked awkward.

"What is it? Is there news?" Was that why Seb wasn't there?

"Sav, I'm sorry, I don't know where to start..." Savannah heard the word sorry and her mind began to work overtime. Casey was dead, wasn't she? She began to sob, deep body wracking sobs.

"No, no, not my little girl!" A look of horror appeared on Antti face as he realised what Savannah had assumed.

"Shit no, I didn't mean that. I mean...".

"Sav, " Maddy interrupted. "What Antti is trying to say is that this morning he received an email from Seb."

"An email? I'm confused."

"I guess he sent it because he could schedule it for a certain time."

"Please just get to the point. Where is my husband?"

"At this precise minute? I don't know," Antti admitted.

"I really don't understand. What was the email about?"

"Yesterday when he got back from the hospital he found he'd received a letter from Christian. In the letter Christian told him that he'd be willing to do a deal. A swap. Seb for Casey. He gave him an address and told him that if he told the police, or didn't turn up alone Casey would pay the price."

Savannah gave a small cry, Maddy held her tighter. "He decided to go Savannah. In the email he told me he couldn't sit by and let Casey suffer. He said he had to try, that maybe he could save her and they'd both escape Christian."

"Christian would never let Casey go! He wants to destroy me. Why would Seb take his word? Oh my God. He's got them both now hasn't he?" She could barely breathe. How could she live without him? He was her rock, the love of her life. How could he leave her alone?

"We don't know. In the email Seb gave me the address. He told me to call the police. I received the email fifteen minutes after he'd gone to meet Christian. I called them. I've heard nothing since. I drove past. There were police cars everywhere, and two ambulances. I'm so sorry Sav, he should have told me and I'd have gone with him."
