A/N:  So here we are. The end.  Thank you so much for all your reads, votes and comments.  I really appreciate them.  I'm sorry I've been quite useless at replying to comments.  I'm going to try to be better at that in my future works.   I hope you've enjoyed Savannah and Seb's journey.   I'm going to miss them!   I'll be a taking a short break before restarting Finding Immy.  Take care ❤️

Savannah smiled lovingly as she watched Eva laid in the crib at the side of her hospital bed. She was just twelve hours old but Savannah couldn't imagine life without her.  She reached out and brushed her cheek with her index finger.

"Your brothers and sisters are going to be so excited to meet you baby girl," she said.

She looked at her watch.   Seb would be here any minute.  Once they got the all clear from the doctor he'd be taking them home.   It would be a new experience that was for sure, going home with a baby less than a day old wasn't something she'd ever done.

She winced as a pain shot through her belly.  The afterpains were nasty but unavoidable.   She decided she would ask for a couple of paracetamol when she saw a midwife or a doctor.

Eva began to grizzle.  It was time for her feed.   Savannah picked her up gently and sat down in the chair next to the bed.  She undid her pyjama top and eased her breast out of her nursing bra.  Eva latched on immediately.

Savannah sat thinking as Eva fed. She couldn't wait to get home and relax. She'd had enough of hospitals to last a lifetime.

Seb gently pushed the door to Savannah's room open. He peered around and smiled. Savannah was sat in the chair by the side of the bed, Eva cradled in her arms dressed in a pink and white spotty babygro. She was wearing the hat that Britta had given them at Christmas, a pink one with Eva's name embroidered on it in white.

"How are my girls?" he asked. Savannah looked up and beamed as she saw him.

"Hey. We are good. She's got such an appetite already."

He came fully into the room and sat down on the bed. "Did you get much sleep? Have you seen the doctors yet?"

"I had a couple of hours just after you left. Then another hour at six. The trouble is I don't want to sleep. I just want to keep looking at her. And no, the doctors haven't been yet. How are the kids? How did they take the news?"

"They are very, very excited. They can't wait to meet her. They all wanted to come with me but I couldn't bring one and not the others, and there was no way I was bringing them all."

"She is going to be one spoilt baby isn't she?"

Seb nodded. He couldn't stop looking at Eva. She was part of him and part of Savannah. She was perfect.

"I expect all the grandparents are desperate to meet her too," Savannah said.

"Oh yes. Our mums are more excited than the kids!" Savannah laughed.

"Hopefully it won't be long now."

In the end it was another two hours until they got the all clear to leave.  Savannah went to the bathroom to get dressed, while Seb said he'd change Eva's nappy and put some clean clothes on her.

He laid the nappy on the bed along with with a tiny pink vest and the pink and white babygro they'd chosen for her to go home in.
