A/N: I made a mistake in the previous chapter, which I have now rectified. I stated that Savannah's period had been due on the Thursday but I miscounted the weeks. She'd have been due the Thursday before, not that it really matters with the negative test but was bugging me lol.

Seb's mood kept changing on the drive home from Monaco the following evening.   One minute he was distraught, thinking he'd lost Savannah, the next he was fuming that she'd ran off without giving him a chance to explain, to defend himself.

After several frantic hours on the Saturday Antti had received a phone call from Maddy to say that Savannah had arrived home safely.   Seb had never been so relieved in his entire life.  And that's when the angry feelings had  started to creep in.    What had she been thinking?  Sure, she was upset, but had there been any need to worry everyone like she had?

Then he'd remembered why she'd fled.   She thought he'd cheated with Harmony, and knowing her lack of self esteem she probably thought he was leaving her too.

He'd spent a restless night tossing and turning, worrying and missing her.   He'd been exhausted for the race the following day and thought himself lucky that he'd managed to finish the race where he'd started.

After a short debrief, which was unheard of for him, he'd jumped in his car and began the eight hour drive home just a couple of hours after the race had ended.  The original plan had been to travel home on the Monday, but he couldn't stay away a moment longer.  He had to get home to her to explain, to remind her that she was the one he loved.

As he raced towards home his anger towards Alannah had grown. Fabian and Gia had filled him in on what she'd said to Savannah in the Paddock Club. What a bitch! How dare she mess with his marriage. He'd definitely be having words with Stefan about her! They certainly wouldn't be welcome at his house again.

Pushing the speed limit, and exceeding it over fifty percent of the time, he made the estimated eight hour drive in just under seven hours.

As he pulled up outside the gates to their house the clock in the car read 1 am. The place was in darkness apart from a security light next to the front door that switched on as he pulled through the gates.

He knew Maddy had gone home. She'd told Antti that Savannah had sent her away, wanting to be alone with the kids.

Leaving his case in the car, Seb jumped straight out of the car and let himself in. He switched the hallway light on and was immediately greeted by Bruno.

"Hey boy," he said, crouching down to pat him. "At least someone's pleased to see me."

After a minute he led Bruno back to the kitchen, where Enzo was still sleeping in his basket. "Some guard dog you are!" he told the young Dalmatian.

Then he went into the lounge and poured himself a glass of whisky. He downed it in one and then headed upstairs.

First of all he popped his head into each of the kid's bedrooms, kissing each and every one of them on the forehead. They looked so peaceful and his heart was full of the love he felt for them. Then he made his way cautiously to his and Savannah's room.

The door was pulled to, but it wasn't shut. He slowly pushed it open. He turned the torch on his phone and shone it around the room. Savannah was laid asleep on her side, her back towards the door. She had one leg out of the covers. She was snoring gently. Fighting the urge to call her name he entered the room properly and closed the door quietly behind him.

He walked over the en suite and went inside, turning the light on. He leant on the sink and looked in the mirror. Christ, he thought. I look rough.
