Savannah picked up her mug of hot chocolate and took a sip out of it.  Maddy looked at her across the table, stifling a laugh.

"What?" Savannah asked, smiling cluelessly.  Maddy brushed her finger across her top lip, signalling that Savannah had a "cream moustache".
Savannah picked up the white napkin that lay next to her mug and dabbed her lip.

"So, are you excited to see your man?" the blonde woman asked.  Savannah blushed slightly and nodded.  Finally, after nine days away, Seb would be home today.   She couldn't wait to see him, although she was extremely nervous of what was going to happen after the text he'd sent her before the race.  Excited, but nervous.    She looked at the clock on the cafe wall.  He would have landed a while ago, but he hadn't texted to confirm that.   She hadn't had time to check either.   After dropping the four eldest kids off at school she and Oliver had headed to meet up with Maddy, who'd offered to have the youngest Vettel for the day so Savannah and Seb could have a bit of alone time before all the kids finished school. They'd arranged to meet at Rosa's cafe, the place where Savannah and Seb had had lunch together for the first time nearly a year before.

"Heard anything yet?" Savannah shook her head. She hoped the flight hadn't been delayed. She was so looking forward to curling up in his arms and just enjoying some quiet time.

"Not a thing. So what plans have you and this young man got?" she asked, tickling Oliver under the chin, making him giggle.

"Well, I thought about the indoor soft play in Kreuzlingen, then later if you like I'll leave him with Antti and I'll pick the kids up from school and take them back to ours for pizza to give you and Seb a little longer. Then we'll pop them back later."

"Are you sure? I know you and Antti need alone time too."

"Of course I'm sure. Me and Antti can have alone time any time. You and Seb always have the kids there, and when they're at school you still have Oli."

"Thank you Maddy! You really are a star."

"It's my pleasure. I think me and this little dude will make a move now."

"Yeah, I'm gonna head home and wash up from breakfast.  Hopefully Seb will be home soon."

"Then you can get a move on with the baby making yes?" Maddy teased.  Savannah felt her cheeks heating up.

They stood up, and she dropped a kiss on Oliver's head. "Be a good boy Oli.   Have fun."

"Bye Sav!"  Savannah went up to the counter and paid for their drinks.  Then she went outside and made her way back to the car.  She checked her phone quickly before she began the short drive home.  Still no word from Seb.

She switched the radio on and started the engine.  Maybe by the time she'd cleaned the kitchen up he'd have texted.

After what seemed like no time at all she pulled up in front of the gates.  She picked up the remote from where she'd put it in the gap beneath the radio and pressed the button to open them.

She stopped the car near to the front door and climbed out. Unlocking the front door, she heard the sound of nails on the wooden floors. The two dogs launched themselves at her. She laughed loudly and began to fuss over them. "Hey guys. Wow, anyone would think I'd been gone for a whole day, not just over an hour!"

She shut the door behind her and headed into the kitchen, Bruno and Enzo following behind her, their tails wagging.

She opened the back door and let them outside, whilst she filled their food and water bowls up.

After a few minutes they bounded back inside. She opened the cupboard under the sink and picked up the small shovel they used for cleaning up the dog poop, along with a small bag and headed down the garden to locate any "mess".
