Grace's POV
I laughed as I heard Jake knock on the door. He had left about half an hour ago, telling me he's be back to pick me up for the party.
I couldn't believe he was going to do this. This is something that happens when you go on a date. Not going to a party with a friend who lives in the same house as you.
A friend you have a crazy crush on.
Oh gosh, I really needed to do something about that.
Knowing me I'll just randomly blurt it out one day if I don't tell him. I can imagine it now. We'd be watching Modern Family and Jake would say, "Lily is so sassy," and I'd probably be like "I have a crush on you" just randomly.
He'd freak out too. No one wants to lose their best friend because they develop feelings for you. Something, I didn't think would ever happen.
But it did. Now I have to deal with it.
Naturally, when I went to open the door for Jake, I was freaking out. What if he didn't like how I looked? What if he was mucking around to make fun of me? What if I made a fool out of myself?
"For you." Jake grinned at me, holding out a single wild flower he probably picked from the garden. Who has money for that expensive stuff? It'd probably die in a week.
I looked over the flower and saw Jake still standing there with that big smile on his face. He had a blue button up shirt on with some knee-length shorts and overall he just looked well... really good. His hair was a mess but I knew he probably tried to comb it down but he's constantly running his hands through it, making it impossible to keep control of.
"Gracie?" Jake asked, watching me.
I blushed like crazy and took the flower. "Sorry, thanks."
"Should we get going?" He asked, an even bigger smile on his face if that was even possible.
Dang, he knew I was checking him out.
Oh gosh I was checking him out...
What the heck Grace?
"Yeah sure." I shrugged.
Be cool Grace, be cool. Tonight, I planned on telling him how I felt.

It's just a party. Nothing to freak out about. Just your average, crazy teenager, alcohol filled party. Well not that crazy. But it wasn't a casual 10 people maximum party where you played pin the tail on the donkey.
Harley being one of those girls who loved these type of events decided she was going to dress me up. That was probably the only reason she did like going to these. So she could wear her fancy clothes.
