Grace's POV
Friday night seemed to come around pretty quickly. It was going to be a bit harder to avoid seeing Jake now. At school, it was to not have to see him because well... I didn't have any classes with him and in the afternoon's I just locked myself in my room and did my homework.
The mornings were a tad harder because I left at the same time Jake does. I couldn't seem to find a way around it without somehow seeing him in the morning anyway.
Chris hadn't tried anything sneaky since well... you know. I'm glad he didn't. It means I know that he does care about me. Not that I ever doubted it. So we're all good. Plus, it's hard not to forgive him.
The past couple of days he's been doing the cutest of things. He always sent me a good morning and good night texts, gave me some flowers, packed a little lunch for us both, took me to see a movie I had wanted to see for a while last night. I just couldn't even try to be mad.
Speaking of the past couple of days, Harley has been acting a bit strange. I know she's hiding something. I would also imagine it's a good something seeing she can't stop smiling. It's almost an evil smile though... like she has a plan.
And I want in on the plan.
Luckily for me, she was coming over for a sleepover in approximately twenty minutes. I probably wouldn't find out for an hour after that though. Depends what we do.
Usually we watch movies and talk. Sometimes there's makeovers, video games, singing and baking evil goods involved though. You just never know how the night will end.

I was expecting Harley over any minute now so I wasn't surprised when the someone knocked at our door. I got up off the couch with these amazing things I discovered the other day called legs and went to open up the door.
Lifting up my hand for a high five, I was met with no other hand. My poor lonely hand. You'll find another one day, don't you worry.
"Oh it's you." I frowned at the sight of Jake standing at the entrance to the house.
"Jeez thanks. Glad to know you care." He pushed passed me.
"You know I care." I told him and rolled my eyes before walking back over to the couch.
"Really? Because you didn't want to listen to my side of the story on what happened." He told me, his voice hard.
"Then what's your side? 'Oh he hit me first. I had to him back.'" I said in impersonation of a really girly sound. Probably should have made it more manly...
"No. He doesn't deserve you." I sighed and leaned back on the couch.
"Just go Jake... please."
"Gracie please. Can you just hear me out now?" He pleaded.
"Harley will be over any second." I kept my voice serious. I wanted to see what he had to say but I just couldn't. He doesn't want me to be with the guy who makes me happy.
"She can wait."
"No. My best friend comes first."
"This is important." I saw Jake involuntarily clench his fists.
