Kitty!

Wednesday's pov:

I wake up and Enid's still asleep, luckily we have no classes today. I head to the cafeteria to grab a pastry and head out to the quad. As I'm walking I suddenly feel as though I've shrunk and my poor pastry drops from my hands. I go to reach for it but see my hands have turned into tiny black paws. Suddenly a realization hits. I quickly turn and notice I have a tail. I use my paws to feel on top of my head and there I feel two pointy ears. I can only assume...I am now a cat.

I look around and see a few people looking at me.
-"aww a kitty!"
One of the girls says, walking up to pet me. I quickly slap her hand away and run off. I'm going to need Enid's help.

Enid's pov:

I wake up to light scratching on the door. I glance over and see Wednesday has already left. Why would someone be scratching at the door? I get up and stretch then open the door. Instantly a small black cat dashes into the room and my eyes light up.
-"kitty!"
I exclaim running to pet it. The cat hisses.
-"it's me Enid!"
It yells. I fall back from shock.
-"you talk!?"
-"yes I talk! It's me! Wednesday"
The small cat is all black and wearing the same uniform as Wednesday normally does. It even still has braids like her and the same annoyed expression.
-"Woahh"
Wednesday rolls her eyes and I pick her up.
-"how'd this happen?"
I ask.
-"I was walking through the quad when suddenly this happened. I have no idea how"
I try to contain my excitement.
-"Enid your staring"
She says with a glare.
-"your so cute!"
I exclaim spinning around and falling on my bed with her in my hands. I start petting her.
-"aww who's just a cute lil angwy pants"
I say in a baby voice. She slaps my hands away with her cute paws.
-"stop that"
She says angrily.
-"this is serious I can't be a cat forever. More importantly I just need to find out who did this"
-"ok well first things first let's find a way to change you back, shall we?"
-"it'd be appreciated"
She says, rolling her eyes.

Wednesday's pov:

So far being a cat is insufferable, not in a good way. As Enid carries me through the halls we bump into Ajax.
-"hey Enid!"
He says with a smile and then notices me.
-"aww and who's this little cutie"
He says trying to pet one side of my face with his finger. I hiss and he backs away kinda scared. Enid laughs a bit then holds me up, my feet dangling mid air.
-"it's actually Wednesday!"
Enid says with a smile.
-"woah like..Wednesday Wednesday? Your roommate Wednesday?"
-"yes it's me are you dense! Put me down Enid"
Ajax falls from shock and fear.
-"w-Woah she talks??"
Enid laughs awkwardly.
-"yep! Still as feisty as ever though"
Ajax awkwardly smiles but it's clear this situation is too much for him.
-"oh! Think you could help us reverse this? We're pretty sure it's a spell but I don't really know where to start looking for a cure"
Ajax looks down at me, still clearly overwhelmed.
-"uh y-yeah I can help you take a look in the library"
-"thanks! Your the best, isn't he the best Wednesday?"
I meow and roll my eyes.

Enid's pov:

We walk to the library and Ajax splits up from us while Wednesday stays beside me.
-"wow I normally don't get a lot of students actually looking for books here"
I hear Mrs. Thornhill say with a slight laugh.
-"y-yeah"
She looks down at Wednesday.
-"but I am afraid pets still aren't allowed in here, even if they are just the cutest little thing"
She say's crouching down and Wednesday prances up to her.
-"r-right but I'm just watching her for a bit can I please keep her in here? We won't be long"
I plead. Mrs. Thornhill thinks for a moment.
-"oh alright, but only cuz your one of my favorite students"
She says with a wink and reassuring smile.
-"thanks Mrs. Thornhill"
Wednesday walks back over to me and we begin looking for a book.

Wednesday's pov:

After searching the library for over two hours we found three books that may help. 'Hexes and curses', 'transformations of pets and humans', and 'spell reversions, extreme edition'.
-"hey I'm really sorry but I promised Xavier I'd meet up with him to play some video games, mind if I dip?"
Ajax asks Enid. Enid smiles and nods.
-"yeah it's all good, thanks for your help today"
Ajax smiles.
-"no problem"
The two then lean into kiss but I interpret with an angry hiss.
-"right sorry Wednesday"
-"see ya later Enid"
Enid sighs.
-"isn't he just great?"
-"yes, such a prince"
I say sarcastically.
-"let's just hurry up and fix this"
I say, jumping on Enid's bed with all the books.

Enid's pov:

-"r-right"
I say, following Wednesday back to my bed. Her little paws angrily tap the books, she's so adorable.
-"here, let me get that"
I say with a slight laugh as I open up the books.
-"thank you."
Wednesday says, embarrassed.

After a few hours we found something that may work. A potion.
-"I need your help making this"
Wednesday says, pointing down at the page with the recipe. The recipe calls for: cat hair, milk, werewolf blood, siren scales, and purified lizards.
-"g-gross"
I say looking down at the ingredients. Wednesday looks up at me.
-"y-yeah I can help, I'll go make the errand for the ingredients"
Wednesday just looks at me.
-"Enid"
She says.
-"...how do you plan on getting the werewolf blood?"
I sigh with a smile.
-"well you see my dear feline friend, that's the upside to having a werewolf as a roomie. I don't mind giving myself a slight cut to help you out"
I then leave the room to grab the rest of the ingredients.

Wednesday's pov:

I don't know how I feel about Enid hurting herself just to help me. Perhaps I should stay a cat forever, I could be her and Ajax's house pet. Mind you I'm being sarcastic.

Soon Enid returns with all the ingredients. I then hop on her lap and she cuts a bit of my cat hair off. We then mix the ingredients together in a metal bowl. I look up at Enid, before I can drink the potion she needs to add the blood. Enid gives me a nod and then makes a cut on her hand making a slight noise from pain. The blood drops into the mixture and I proceed to drink it.

Enid's pov:

Not more then a minute later Wednesday suddenly poofs back to normal. I quickly cover my face and my face heats up so badly I feel I might burst.
-"oh"
Wednesday says looking down at herself. She...she doesn't have and clothes on :/
Her skin is so white and milky but I can't look.
-"my apologies"
She says calmly as she walks back to her closet to put some clothes on. Thank goodness, I don't think she noticed how much I'm blushing. After getting dressed in her pj's Wednesday walks back to me, takes a knee, and grabs my hand. W-what's going on?? I can't think properly, my brains malfunctioning and my face is far too hot. Wednesday looks into my eyes then looks down at my hand and proceeds to wrap it with a bandage.
-"oh. That's not what I was expecting"
I say without thinking. She looks up at me confused.
-"what WERE you thinking?"
-"n-nothing!"
She just rolls her eyes and continues wrapping my cut.
-"goodnight Enid"
She says giving me a slight pat on the head.
-"thanks for today.."
-"n-no problem Wednesday"
I say covering my face in the sheets, as my heart pounded in my chest. I REALLY need Ajax to help me get over this.
