Participation

Wednesday's pov:

Enid's fallen asleep on her bed so I'm going to talk to my parents. See if my dad has talked to my mother about the...incident.
-"ah! There you are my little devil, sooo how ya feeling? I'm assuming that was your first time?"
My father asks, pouring a cup of coffee. I feel my face heat up and I slap my hand over my face from embarrassment.
-"father!"
I yell. My mother starts to laugh and I glare at her.
-"we weren't doing THAT. She...tripped..."
My parents exchange a look and give me an unbelieving smirk.
-"she did!"
-"yes yes and then you just happened to be on top of her out of breath and your little faces red?"
My father asks I'm a condescending tone.

-"precisely"
I reply, with a glare. My mother walks over to me and begins petting my head.
-"don't worry darling, kissing is normal for couples. It's not like we'll make you guys sleep in separate rooms just cause of that"
She says, with a shrug. I sigh.
-"that's appreciated but I swear it was just kissing"
My mother laughs a bit.
-"ok Wednesday, we believe you"
-"that's still a lot for you so good job mi amor"
My father says, handing me a cup of coffee.

I put my head down as I take a sip.
-"thank you"
My father smiles and pats mg shoulder.
-"me and your mother will be in the garden, making preparations for Saturday if you need us"
My father says as he and my mother begin walking off.
-"Saturday?"
I ask. They turn and look at me confused.
-"yes of course, the family tournament?"
-"oh. I'd forgotten"
-"that's fine deary, will your friends be participating as well? I mean fencing is basically a requirement at Nevermore"
My mother says with a shrug.

-"but of course they will! I'd especially love to see that girl Bianca participate since she was able to take you down"
My father says happy. I nod my head a bit.
-"yes I'm sure she'd love to, I'll ask the others as well"
I reply.
-"and of course Enid will participate"
My mother says.
-"must she?"
-"well she can't very well be a future Addams if she can't fence"
My mother says.
-"ahh come on! Wednesday wouldn't pick just anyone to date! I bet Enid is SPECTACULAR at all things, including fencing. Right Wednesday?"
My father asks.

-"um...yes. She'll be great"
-"fantastic! Just let us know if your other friends wish to participate as well"
He says with a slight wave as he and my mother walk off.
-"fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!"
I mutter to myself as I speed up the stairs. Enid isn't...bad at fencing. HOWEVER she has lost almost every sparing match she's ever been in at Nevermore, there's no shame in that though, everyone at Nevermore is quite skilled. I'm sure if she went up just a normal person she'd be fantastic but the fact of the matter is she's not just going against anyone, she's going against my family. I bust the door open but can't bring myself to wake her up as I look down at her.

I sigh.
-"ugh Enid, why must you be so adorable"
I say with a slight frown as I run my fingers through her hair. I sigh again and decide to check on the others. I knock on Yoko and Bianca's door. I hear them laughing a bit.
-"come innn"
Yoko says with a laugh. I slowly open the door. Their both sitting on the floor with giant grins on their faces.
-"what?"
I ask, as I enter the room.
-"ohh nothingggg how's it with you and Enid?"
Yoko asks. I look at her skeptically.

-"fine. Why?"
-"oh no reason really...y'all were just really loud"
-"yeah you must be pretty rough huh Wednesday?"
-"well she is a sadist"
Replies Yoko. My face reddens as I realize what their talking about.
-"what did you hear?"
I ask, glaring down at them. They just start laughing again.
-"it's ok Wednesday, we're just teasing. What's up?"
Yoko asks. I sigh.
-"on Saturday my family will me hosting a fencing event along with a few other mini competitions, they were wondering if you guys would like to participate"
-"oh sure, sounds fun"
Yoko replies, leaning on the bed.
-"sure, would we be competing against your family?"
Bianca asks. I nod.
-"yes"
She smiles a bit.

-"great I can't wait to see what you Addams' are made of"
She says. I roll my eyes and exit the room. Next I go to Ajax's room.
-"oh hey Wednesday"
He says, taking off his headphones. I appreciate that he doesn't call me any stupid names like the others try to.
-"hello Ajax, my family will be hosting a fencing tournament Saturday, would you care to participate?"
-"ah fencings not really my thing, is it alright if I just watch?"
-"yes that should be fine"
I say, with a nod.
-"oh by the way dinner will be in a little over an hour, make sure to put on a decent shirt"
-"will do! Thanks again Wednesday"
He says with a smile, giving me a thumbs up.

I open Xavier's door.
-"Wens!"
He says happily. I roll my eyes.
-"Xavier"
I reply.
-"come ta hang out?"
-"no not exactly, I was wondering if you'd like to participate in a fencing tournament Saturday"
He thinks for a moment.
-"like with your family?"
-"yes, most of my family will be there"
-"anyone else from the crew participating?"
-"Yoko and Bianca, sadly Enid is being forced to as well"
-"forced?"
-"yes. It's so my family can see if she's a good fit"

-"oh yeah fencing's pretty important to y'all right?"
I nod my head.

Xavier's pov:

I've just had a genius idea! If I best Enid it'll prove that I'M better for Wednesday than her! And if I beat some members of her family I'm sure they'll love me even more!
-"hmm ok yeah I'd love to participate"
She nods her head.
-"I'll inform my parents, did you happen to bring your fencing gear?"
-"ah sorry I didn't, I didn't think I'd need it"
I say with a slight laugh.
-"ok we can go pick up some uniforms Thursday or Friday"
She says, turning to leave the room. God she's so fine.

-"o-ok! See ya later Wednesday!"
She closes the door. I start jumping and kicking my legs in the air.
-"god she's so fine!"
I say to myself. Me and her are perfect for each other. We're both rich, we're both misunderstood, AND most importantly we're both hot af!
