Enid's pov:

-"soooo what are we doing here?"
I ask as we enter the mall.
-"Ollie's meeting with friends and the tweebs are off getting into mischief, figured me and you could hang out like the good old days"
Chase says with a shrug. I smile a bit. When me and chase were little we were practically best friends, it wasn't until we were like 11 that we started to drift apart.
-"sure, what should we start with? It's been FOREVER since we've actually hung out here"

Chase nods his head.
-"yes yes, very true"
He says, still thinking.
-"well the tweebs are most likely at the arcade...I dunno let's do some light shopping while we think of other activities"
He suggests.
-"sounds good"
I reply, as we start walking.

-"hey mind if I stop in here for a sec?"
He asks, pointing at hot topic. I watch a bunch of goth teens exit and enter the shop.
-"y-you shop here?"
I ask, totally confused.
-"yeah sorry, I know the whole emo scene isn't really your thing but they've got colorful stuff I think you'd like as well. Besides it's just some light browsing it won't kill ya"
He says, leading me into the store. Come to think of it I've never ACTUALLY been into a shop like this. I mean I've gone to Uriah's heep obvi but this place is a lot darker then that. Black and red make up just about everything. I thought Wednesday was emo, turns out she's just gloomy.

-"welcome to hot topic do you need help finding anything today?"
A sales person with short green hair asks us, looking kinda annoyed.
-"no thanks, just browsing"
My brother says. We walk a little further into the store.
-"here ya go Enid. This is probably more your style"
He says, gesturing over to a corner. I look over and see a corner full of bright pastel colors, mostly baby blue. All the clothes have cute little kawaii animals on them and there's an arrangement of pins and posters. My eyes instantly light up and I dash over.

My brother laughs a bit.
-"lemme know if you find anything, I'll be just over here"
He says, nodding towards a wall of band shirts. I give him a thumbs up and begin going through the shirts.
-"hmm I wonder if Wednesday would like any of this stuff"
I say, mostly thinking to myself as I look up at the rest of the store. I walk over to a rack of black skirts. Yeah their cute but could I really picture Wednesday wearing them?

-"hey cutie, whatcha looking for?"
I hear someone ask. I look up and see a pretty brunette girl looking down at me with a smirk. She's wearing a black beanie, some sort of band shirt, fishnet fingerless gloves, and black shorts with fishnets underneath. Her eye makeup is dark and her lipstick is purple. My eyes widen and I feel a bit flustered.
-"n-nothing in particular"
I reply. She leans down closer to me and after a moment pulls out a skirt.
-"this one would look cute on you"
She says, handing it to me. I smile a bit.
-"t-thanks"

She smiles and nods her head.
-"so what's your name?"
She asks.
-"Enid, and yours?"
-"huh well that's different, I'm Emma"
She says, sticking her hand out for me to shake. I shake her hand and she smiles.
-"hey so how's about you come hang out with me if your not busy?"
She asks, nodding her head out the door. I think about it for a moment but then look back at my brother who's currently fanboying over a shirt.

-"I would but we just met and I'm here with my brother"
I reply. She nods and smiles a bit.
-"understood, can I at least get your number?"
She asks, pulling out her phone and looking at me sweetly. I awkwardly laugh a bit and pull out my phone.
-"oh I don't wanna assume anything here but I am in a relationship"
I say, not wanting to accidentally lead her on. She smiles and laughs a bit.
-"yeahh that makes sense, I figured a pretty girl like you would already be taken but I wanted to shoot my shot you know? Either way if you wanna be friends I'm down with that too"
She replies. I smile a bit.
-"sounds good, I just didn't want there to be any confusion"
She nods and I give her my number.

-"well I guess I'll be seeing ya around, text ya later?"
She asks.
-"sure thing"
I reply. She smiles and waves as she excites the store.
-"so who was that?"
My brother asks, coming up behind me and resting his chin on my head.
-"oh just a random girl, she seemed nice enough"
-"she seemed cute actually"
He replies. I roll my eyes.
-"yeah well my actual girlfriends cuter"
I reply without thinking.

Quickly I realize what I had said and my face burns up from embarrassment.
-"wait! I didn't mean-"
-"girlfriend!?!?"
He exclaims.
-"tell me everything Ens! When did this happen? Who is it?? When did you start liking girls!?"
He eagerly questions as we walk out of the store.
-"w-we started dating like two days ago"
I say, blush covering my cheeks.
-"soo who is it??"
-"w-Wednesday"
I reply.
-"woah, the emo murderer chick?"
I glare at him, my face still red. He sticks his hands up like he's been caught.
-"hey hey whatever makes ya happy sis, just surprising is all. I didn't know that girl had friends"

-"yeah neither did I"
I say with a slight smile.
-"welp leave it to Enid Sinclair to bring out the best in someone"
He says with a shrug.
-"so when did you start having feelings like this? Ya coulda told me sooner"
He says with a sincere look on his face. I smile a bit but awkwardly look away.
-"I dunno I guess this started around the beginning of the year? I didn't come to you cuz well it's not like we're the closest I just-...I didn't know how you'd react"
I say looking down a bit. He smiles a bit as he looks down at me and places his hand on my shoulder.

-"I know about Oliver"
He says, and I lift my head and look at him in shock.
-"you do??"
He nods his head.
-"since 7th grade when he first figured out he was gay"
-"woah"
I reply, a bit astonished at how he'd never told anyone. He nods again and blush begins to cover his face a bit.
-"and I...am also kinda into men"
He says looking up with a slight grin on his face.
-"your gay?"
I ask. He laughs a bit.
-"no, no, no, no don't get me wrong I'm into guys but girls are also a weakness of mine"
He says in a lighthearted daze. I laugh a bit.

-"Ollie has his preference but I couldn't make up my mind"
He says with a shrug.
-"sounds about right for you"
I tease. He smirks a bit and playfully pushes me as we continue walking.
