Enid's pov:

I wake up and check my phone. Only a few notifications from insta, dozens from tiktok, and one from Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY:
-'Bonjour mon cher'

I blush as I look down at the message. I had heard her mom say "mon cher" dozens of times during parents weekend so I'm sure it means something sweet.

Me:
-'good morning my love'
-'sleep well?'

Suddenly I remember I hadn't told anyone about me and Wednesday yet! I open my group chat with Ajax, Bianca, and Yoko and message them.

Me:

-'I've got some newssss'

Ajax:
-'Enid!'
-'good to hear from you, what's the news?'

Bianca:
-'yeah what's the news?'

Me:
-'me and Wednesday are dating 🤗'

Ajax:

Bianca:

Yoko:

-'DETAILS!'

Bianca:

Ajax:

I laugh a bit and feel myself blush as I read their texts.

Me:
-'ok ok so on the last day of school I asked Wednesday for her number'
-'and like I kinda sorta maybe kissed her 😬'

Me:
-'ok look it was mildly embarrassing and I low key thought I ruined our friendship'

-'she ended up texting me first and last night we decided to call'

Yoko:

Me:
-'then after me apologizing for kissing her she said she liked me 😵‍💫'

Yoko & Bianca:

-'so me and Wednesday were kinda wondering if y'all would wanna spend the holidays with us'
-'like if your parents would be chill'

Bianca:
-'my moms probably gonna say no but I'll see what I can do 🤷🏾‍♀️'

-'ah dude I'd love too but moneys low key kinda tight 😬'

Me:
-'actually kinda the beauty of all this is that y'all won't have to worry about money at all'

-'as sweet as the offer is she can't just pay for all of us'

-'so Wednesday's like fr insistent on us coming?'

Me:

-"transportation covered?'
-'how bout hotel?'

-'no hotel, we'd all just be staying at Wednesday's'

A few minutes pass and there's no reply. My phone remains quiet until Wednesday texts responding to my message from earlier.

WEDNESDAY:
-'nope, terribly in fact'
-'hbu?'

Me:
-'aww that's terrible! Was something wrong?'
-'I slept alright'

WEDNESDAY:
-'that's lovely to hear'
-'have you eaten yet?'

I hear my stomach begin to rumble.

Me:
-'ah not yet, I'll probably just grab a banana later'
-'have you?'

WEDNESDAY:
-'lurch is in the kitchen making breakfast rn so no not yet'
-'oh have you texted the others about visiting?'

Suddenly I get a few notifications from my group chat.

Bianca:
-'my mom said yes'
-'that I can go'

Yoko:
-'my dad said ok'

Ajax:
-'my parents said their alright with it'
-'when's it gonna be?'

Me:
-'in 2 weeks'

Bianca:
-'Alr sweet'
-'I'll see y'all then'

Yoko:
-'this is gonna be great'

Ajax:
-'definitely'
-'oh yeah make sure to tell Wednesday thanks for us'
-'I'd let her know myself but I don't got her number'

WEDNESDAY:
-'Enid?'

Me:
-'sorry that was them texting right now'
-'I talked to everyone and they can all go'
-'you're gonna text Eugene and Xavier yourself right?'

WEDNESDAY:
-'yes I'll be texting them right now"
-"so what is that 6 plane tickets in total?'

Me:
-'I believe so'
-'seriously wens I'll pay ya back'

Wednesday's pov:

I shake my head as I read Enid's text.

ME:
-'no no Enid'
-'I thought we already discussed this?'
-'I want this trip to be my treat as a thank you to all of you guys'

Enid:
-'🙁'

ME:
-'🤦🏻‍♀️'
-'you coming is payment enough'

-"Wednesday! Breakfast is ready"
I hear my mom call out for me.
-"coming!"
I reply.

ME:
-'I have to go eat breakfast but text me if there's anything you need'
-'please eat something as well'
