Enid's pov:

-"so! A werewolf huh? What's it like to transform?"
Wednesday's uncle asks me, taking a sip of wine. Wednesday's aunt and mom are off conversing by a wall, Wednesday and her father are going over more fencing tips for tomorrow, Xavier and Pugsley are dancing while the others are playing with the baby. I look back at her uncle and he's really close.
-"well?"
He asks.
-"ah r-right well I've only done it once and it was pretty excruciating but I've been told it gets better"
-"huh only once? Aren't you like 16?"
-"15 actually"

He nods.
-"yeah so aren't you supposed to first transform when your like 10?"
-"8, but I was a late bloomer I guess"
I reply, awkwardly laughing a bit. He nods.
-"quite interesting. How'd you and Wednesday get together? Weren't you her roommate that couldn't handle her?"
I frown a bit, I can feel myself blushing but it's just from embarrassment. I feel so nervous, if I'm this nervous now how will I be tomorrow?
-"y-yes...me and Wednesday were roommates, umm I'm assuming you showed up at school around the time the mayor died?"
-"I believe so"
He replies with a blank look on his face.
-"right well I don't know Wednesday was technically the first to confess to me, it was over FaceTime.."

He shakes his head.
-"terrible terrible terrible"
He says.
-"I- e-excuse me?"
I ask.
-"terrible! I mean it just doesn't make sense. Why would Wednesday have a crush on a late blooming werewolf? Especially one so drastically different and then to confess by facingtime??"
My jaw almost drops. I can't believe he actually said that out loud, d-did I hear correctly? Just then I see Wednesday waving at me.
-"I- I-if you'll excuse me, Wednesday's calling me.."
-"okay!"
He says happily with a dumb smile as he waves.

Wednesday's pov:

-"I saw you were talking with my uncle?"
-"um yeah"
-"sorry to leave you alone with him, me and father were just going over-"
-"a few extra tips, I know"
Enid replies, interrupting me.
-"yes well...I'm yours for the rest of the night, shall we go grab some wine?"

Morticia's pov:

I smile as I watch Wednesday guide her pastel companion over to the wine table.
-"so what's the story with those two sis?"
I hear Ophelia ask. I smile and shrug as I take a sip of my wine.
-"eh l'amour c'est l'amour, what can ya do?"
I reply. She nods.
-"still though it's not that I have an issue with Wednesday liking a girl just I always thought she'd end up with one of the sons from the Montague or McCarthy families. You know or someone less...bright"
She says, squinting her eyes a bit as she looks in the girl's direction.

I playfully tap her arm.
-"honestly I'm just glad Wednesdays finally found someone she seems to genuinely care about, I was getting worried you know"
Ophelia laughs a bit.
-"besides, tomorrow we'll find out for sure if their good for each other and the family can decide"
She nods and we look back at the girls.
-"just between you and me though...If they end up not being a good fit..my vote is for the Thorpe boy"
I mumble to her, taking another sip as I do so. She nods.
"Very much agreed"

Gomez begins tapping on his glass.
-"dinners ready everyone!"
He calls out. I smile as I look at him. Mmmm how'd I wind up with such a devilishly handsome husband? I walk off from Ophelia and Gomez takes my hand.

Enid's pov:

-"what's for dinner?"
I whisper to Wednesday. Before she can even answer 2 ducks and a pig are brought out, their faces and necks still in tact. I gasp and quickly cover my mouth. Wednesday tilts her head as she looks at me.
-"is something wrong?"
-"n-no I just wasn't expecting to see their faces"
I god no wonder people go vegan I feel sick to my stomach looking at that poor pigs face. The sides come out and last but not least Lurch brings out a final dish. Wednesday's dad and uncle are practically salivating at the mouth in anticipation, as lurch is about to take the top of the dish.
-"oh boy I can't wait!"
Her uncle whispers, mostly to himself, rubbing his hands together.

Lurch reveals the dish.

Wednesday's pov:

-"Wednesday's what the fuck is this, are we in science class or something!?"
Ajax and Enid whisper harshly.
-"what? Their just frogs"
I reply with a shrug.
-"yes but they look like how we'd dissect them at school! You guys didn't even cut them, their faces are still there!"
Enid whispers. I really don't see what the issue is.
-"and? They still taste good I promise"
I say, nodding reassuringly. Ajax shrugs.
-"I guess I'll try anything once"
He replies. Enid just sinks in her chair, looking at the dish in fear.

Enid's pov:

Oh god I feel sick. I'm seriously reminded of school and all those horrible smells during science, I can't.
