Chocolate chip cookies

Wednesday's pov:

-"so where's everyone going now?"
Enid asks, hugging onto my arm as we follow the
crowd.
-"I believe it's almost time for the dance contest, everyone's heading to sign their names and then practice for another hour"
I reply. She nods.
-"so we get to dance together right?"
She asks with a bright smile, looking up at me with that sparkle in her eye she always seems to have. I sigh.
-"well it's not guaranteed"
-"what do you mean?"
She replies quickly.
-"well it's a contest. Everyone dances individually and the judges get rid of people until there's only 4 left. Those 4 then break up into pairs for a final dance off"
-"wait...does this mean we're competing against each other!?"

Enid's pov:

Wednesday looks at me for a moment.
-"technically yes."
She replies. Fuck I can't believe I have to complete against a whole bunch of people just to have a chance at dancing with Wednesday. Wait-
I look over and see Xavier at Wednesday as he signs his name. Ugh! I can't with him and his obsession with Wednesday! Is it really his plan to dance with Wednesday?
-"shall we go get a snack?"
Wednesday asks and I snap back to the moment.
-"oh uh sure"
She nods.
-"I'm in the mood for cookies so let's get some from my aunts"
I glance over and see Xavier looking at us.
-"sounds good!"
I reply, grabbing ahold of her arm.

She smiles and we walk to the booths.
-"oh Wednesday! How are you dear? Oh! And is this a lil friend? Ah! How sweet!"
A tall skinny lady with frizzy brown hair says. Wednesday nods.
-"I'm fine great aunt Filz, this is my girlfriend Enid"
Wednesday says, gesturing over to me. Did she FINALLY just introduce me as her girlfriend!??? It's incredibly hard to contain my excitement I feel like screaming. Finally I'm unable to hold it in any longer so I jump to give Wednesday a hug. By now she's used to my hugs so she just rolls her eyes and let's me do my thing.

-"it's nice to meet you ma'am!"
I say with a smile. She looks down at us.
-"hmm...a girlfriend? As in you two are dating?"
She asks. I stop the hug. Wednesday nods. Her aunt smiles and shrugs.
-"honestly sweetie I just wasn't expecting you to start dating"
She says light heartedly.
-"and such a pretty girl at that!"
She says, patting my head. I'm so relieved her aunt is accepting. Her family seems to be very hit or miss. They don't seem homophobic just most don't seem to like us together specifically.

Wednesday rolls her eyes.
-"here would you two like a cookie?"
She asks, bringing out some trays.
-"we've got coconana, snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, and my personal favorite, poison!"
She says with a big smile. I laugh a bit.
-"ooo poison sounds good"
I say, reaching for one. Wednesday quickly slaps my hand.
-"don't. You'll die"
She says in her usual monotone voice.

Wednesday's pov:

Enid's jaw drops.
-"they're actually poisonous!?"
She exclaims.
-"of course they are!"
My aunt replies. Enid looks almost as pale as me. I shake my head.
-"here let's just split a chocolate chip"
I say, handing my aunt $5.
-"pleasure doing business with you miss Addams"
She says, waving it around as though it's a lot of money. I take the cookies and then take Enid's hand as we walk off.
-"Wednesday I was gonna die!"
Enid says. I roll my eyes.
-"you weren't gonna die. Besides the cookies are actually quite delicious just I don't know how strong your poison tolerance is"

-"you've eaten poisonous cookie-!"
-"here"
I interpret, shoving part of the cookie into her mouth. She crosses her arms and glares at me as she finishes chewing.
-"how was it?"
I ask.
-"absolutely delicious!"
She exclaims.
-"why the hell was it so good??"
I shrug.
-"it's her secret recipe"

We continue eating and talking for a bit longer.
-"hey Wednesday?"
She asks. I finish licking the left over chocolate off my finger.
-"yes?"
-"do you think Xavier still likes you?"
I shake my head.
-"no I don't think so, why do you ask?"
She lies back.
-"cuz he's always looking at you and saying things"
-"saying things?"
I ask, looking down at her confused.
-"n-nevermind, I'm probably just thinking too much into it"
I nod. As I look down at her I noticed there's still chocolate lining her lips. Why hasn't she licked it off yet?

Enid's pov:

I look back up and see Wednesday looking at me intensely. She then begins to start leaning down.
-"uh Wednesday what are you d-"
Suddenly our lips meet but just as I close my eyes the kiss is done. Wednesday wipes my lip with her thumb and then licks it.
-"you had chocolate on your mouth"
She says. My jaw drops as I feel my face heat up from embarrassment.
-"w-why didn't you just tell me! O-or just wipe it off with a napkin??"
She shrug.
-"cuz I like chocolate"
She replies.

F-fuck she's so hot. Why have I been simultaneously blessed and cursed with such a gorgeous girlfriend??

I roll my eyes but I can tell I'm still probably blushing.
-"your gonna get me all flustered right before the competition"
I say, looking away. She's still on top of me.
-"oh yeah? Your flustered?"
She asks, moving down and gripping my wrists.
-"maybe you can think of this as motivation so we can dance together, yeah?"
She asks, leaning into kiss me. We close our eye and justtt as our lips are about to meet-

We here a sigh. We look up and see her uncle standing only about 3 feet away.
-"you really do take after your parents. Boy, I remember one time I went to visit your father, and let's just say I wasn't interrupting a pillow fight"
He says with a shrug.

Wednesdays pov:

Enid's face turns even redder but only from embarrassment.
-"can you get off me now?"
She quietly asks, covering her face. I nod and slide myself off of her.
-"hello uncle Fester"
-"hiya kiddo!"
He says with a smile.
-"you know we really aren't too far away from the rest of the family, maybe save the sexual stuff for later?"
He says. Enid whines and attempts to cover her face more. I nod.
-"understood"
I reply.

-"anyways! They're calling everyone for dancing back so ya better hurry"
-"right. Come on Enid"
-"ok"
She replies, covering her face with one hand as she holds my hand with the other while we run.

A/n:
Sorry it's been a bit since I last updated! I've just been super busy and stressed with school and work but now that it's almost summer I should be able to update more frequently.
