The airport (pt.3)

Wednesday's pov:

-"are you off already mon chère?"
My mom asks as I throw on a coat and Lurch grabs his keys.
-"yes, the drive is at least two hours and they should be landing soon"
-"ah I can't WAIT to meet all your little friends! Drive safe my little storm cloud!"
My father says, waving with a big smile. My mother smiles as she looks down at him a bit.
-"yes, and do message us once you're on your way back"
-"of course"
I reply, as Lurch opens the door for me.

Xavier:
-'wensss'
-'I've been waiting foreverrrr 😫'

I roll my eyes.

ME:
-'it's not my fault you got there early'
-'I'll be there within the next hour'
-'also I told you not to call me "wens"'

Xavier's pov:

I roll my eyes as I look down at the texts. If I can't call her a cute nickname why does Enid get to? I hear as a large bussle of people exit one of the gates. I glance over and notice Enid and Ajax. A little bit behind them I notice Bianca. I sigh, put on a smile, and begin walking over.

Enid's pov:

-"you texting Wednesday?"
Ajax asks, leaning over with a smile.
-"hm? Oh haha no. I'm just texting Emma"
I reply with a smile.
-"o-oh. Who's Emma?"
-"just a girl I've been chatting with lately"
-"that's cool...um have you messaged Wednesday yet?"
He asks, fiddling his hands nervously.
-"shit I don't think I have"
I reply, checking the messages from Wednesday.
-"Fuck"
I mumble. She's texted almost 10 times and I haven't responded once.

Me:
-'hey Wens!'
-'I'm SO sorry for not responding'
-'I've just been traveling all day and yk cell service isn't the best at airports 😅'

Ok well technically I'm not lying. Cell service can be kinda spotty, I only left out that I had been distracted messaging other people.

WEDNESDAY:
-'it's ok'
-'is everyone there?'

Me:
-'yeah I believe so'
-'well I'm with Ajax and Bianca right now'
-'yoko just texted saying she's landed so we're gonna meet up with her rn'

WEDNESDAY:
-'and Xavier?'

Me:
-'oh'
-'um idk I'll text him'

WEDNESDAY:
-'ok'
-'I'll be there soon'
-'I'll text Xavier when I arrive'
-'since I can actually get ahold of him'

Me:
-'Wednesday you can't seriously be upset rn'

There's no answer for a few minutes. I keep looking at my phone until suddenly feeling a heavy hand on my shoulder.
-"hey guys!"
It's Xavier, he has one hand in my shoulder, the other on Ajax's.
-"ah Xavier"
I reply with a smile as he and Ajax greet each other in a bear hug.
-"Xavier"
Bianca says, sticking her hand out. She seems very serious, I guess she hasn't really gotten over everything that happened at the Rave'N.

-"ah, Bianca. Good to see ya"
He says with a slight smile, shacking her hand.
-"so where's yoks at?"
He asks, placing his hands on his hips and looking around.
-"gate C, we were just about to go find her"
Ajax replies.
-"oh ok then what we standing around for? Here I'll get this for you"
Xavier says, picking up Bianca's carry on.

Eventually we find Yoko and collect our baggage.
-"Wednesday should be here soon, she says she's pulling in right now"
Xavier says, leading us outside. I check my phone, no message from Wednesday. A few minutes pass and a dark hearse pulls up. I smile a bit, yep that's Wednesday. A Tall pale/green man steps out of the drivers seat and opens the back door. Wednesday steps out.

Ajax's pov:

We watch as Wednesday exits the car. Both her and Enid are blushing intensely but also seem to be refusing to speak to each other. They both just look nervous. Normally their flusteredness is sweet and cute but it's kinda just awkward right now.
-"Wednesday! So good to see you"
Xavier says with a big smile, walking over to her. They shake hands and the ice seems to be broken.
-"Lurch will pack your bags, one of you will have to sit shotgun and the rest of us can fit in the back"
Wednesday says, as some tall Frankenstein like dude picks up our bags.

Xavier offers to sit shotgun and the rest of us fill the back seats.

Me, Yoko, and Bianca start talking amongst ourselves to let Enid and Wednesday do their thing.

Enid's pov:

After a few minutes of silence between me and Wednesday she sighs and pulls out her phone. I feel my phone buzz and I check it.

WEDNESDAY:
-'hi'

I look at her but she just tilts her head towards her phone signaling that she wants me to respond.

Me:
-'umm hi'

WEDNESDAY:
-'sorry for being rude earlier'
-'I suppose I just have a lot on my mind wanting to make this trip perfect for you'

God she's so sweet. I glance over at her again, she's so damn beautiful I can't.

Me:
-'no Wens it's fine'
-'honestly I should've answered your texts sooner'
-'I've just been stressing out about this trip as well'

Wednesday frowns a bit and puts her phone down. She scoots closer to me a bit.
-"how come mi amor?"
She says quietly, just loud enough for the two of us to hear. I feel myself being blushing even more.
-"I-I don't know, it's just we haven't seen each other in person since we started you know.."
-"dating?"
She asks. Placing her hand on mine.
-"y-yeah"
I reply, looking into her dark eyes.
-"why were you worried about that?"
-"I just...didn't want you to be disappointed"
I say, looking away a bit. She grabs my waist and turns me towards her. My eyes widen and I continue blushing, our faces are only a few inches apart.

-"Enid."
She says seriously, looking into my eyes.
-"you could NEVER disappoint me"
Me look at each other for a bit, I'm too flustered to say anything. She lightly kisses my cheek and nuzzles her face into my neck.

A/N:
The next few chapters will mostly just be some fun Christmas stuff and Enid meeting the Addams family officially but after all that there will be some angst.
Just a fair warning.
