The airport

Wednesday's pov:

I'm anxiously pacing the room right now. Why? Because in just a few hours I'll be picking up my friends from the airport. This'll be my first time seeing Enid in person since we've started dating. I could just die thinking about it.

Enid's pov:

-"got all your gifts?"
-"yep!"
-"you know Enie I really don't see why we had to pay for ALL these bags when your just giving them to your friends"
My mom says, clearly upset at the extra checking costs. My father just rolls his eyes.
-"enjoy your trip, take lots of pictures"
He says with a smile. I nod.
-"thanks again for letting me go"
-"so how's this working since your friends live other places?"
Oliver asks.

-"well Ajax's flight landed here not long ago so me and him will be on the same flight and from there we should be stopping where Bianca's flight'll be leaving"
My mother rolls her eyes.
-"I hope this Wednesday girl doesn't think she's doing you any favors by paying for your flight"
She grumbles. I look at her with slight disgust, I love my mom but why does she have to be like this? Chase uncomfortably laughs.
-"welp! Anyways, see ya Enie. Have a safe trip"
He says, giving me a hug and the rest of my family follows.

Me:
-'you're here right?'

Ajax:
-'yep!'
-'we're on the same flight correct?'

Me:
-'as far as ik yes'
-'are you at the gate already?'

Ajax:
-'yeah'
-'are you?'

Me:
-'almost'
-'can you wave so I can find you?'

I look up and notice Ajax waving. I smile a bit and wave back as I walk over. He smiles and gives me a hug.
-"cutting it a bit close huh?"
He says with a smile.
-"nahh we still got an hour before the flight"
He laughs a bit.
-"still a little too close for comfort, talk to Wednesday today?"
I feel a small pit form in my stomach. I love Wednesday don't get me wrong. I'm just nervous about seeing her today. My makeups perfect right now but after like a 9 hour flight it probably won't be. Plus I wasn't able to wear anything cute since I didn't wanna be too uncomfortable during the flight.

What if she's disappointed when she sees me?

I awkwardly laugh a bit.
-"ah no. I haven't. Have you?"
Ajax nods.
-"only a little, she was just making sure I was on time for my flight. She said she's got a surprise for you though"
He says with a shrug.
-"oh really?"
Maybe I should text her. Ajax nods.
-"dunno what it is though"
-"wanna get some Starbucks before we bored?"
He laughs a bit.
-"sure"

I feel my phone vibrate and look down to see it's a text from Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY:
-'hello my dear'
-'are you on time for your flight?'

I can feel that I'm blushing but I just frown and turn my phone off.
-"you good?"
I look up at Ajax and nervously laugh a bit.
-"ah yeah, it was just a game notification. I'm all good"
He nods and we get in line.

Wednesday's pov:

I anxiously sit on my bed until my phone buzzes and my heart begins beating, hoping it's Enid. I really need this trip to go well. I pick up my phone and it's just a message from Xavier. It's a picture of him in sunglasses, making a stupid face, showing the view from his jet.

Xavier:
-'right on time'
-'will I have the pleasure of you picking me up from the airport? 😉'

I roll my eyes.

ME:
-'yes if your meeting everyone at st. Ives airport like previously discussed'

Xavier:
-'👌'

I double check to see if Enid has replied but there's nothing. Maybe she's on her flight already? Wait.... Isn't she with Ajax right now? Enid's not the type to cheat I mean I don't think so at least. But it could be possible Ajax still has some lingering feelings for her.
