He had no intention of ruling Mondstadt truly. But after the incident in Mondstadt happened he has no choice but to start ruling like the other archons.
"You are going to start ruling your nation just like the others?" Asked Morax the geo archon, in shock on the sudden decision made by him.
"Well it seems to be the only right path after the incident in Mondstadt. I will need some guidance through the first steps of this new system. So I do hope you can help" said Barbatos while sipping his tea.
"I understand that you want to step up so a similar incident won't repeat but start ruling? Who are you and what have you done to Barbatos?" Replied the geo archon jokingly. Barbatos joined in the fun by giggling until he heard a branch breaking.
"Did you hear that?" Asked Barbatos. Morax looked at the direction where Barbatos was looking and saw the Yaksha he has saved back in the archon war.
"Ah,that's Xiao. The Yaksha that has been watching over Dihua Marsh" Morax replied. The said Yaksha appeared just a couple steps away from the archons and bowed to them.
"Milord, I heard you saying my name. Is there something you need?" Asked Xiao. "Oh no need Xiao. I was just telling Barbatos about you." Said Morax. "The Anemo archon?!" Xiao raised his head with wide eyes and look to other archon and quickly bowed his head down once again.
"Please forgive my rudeness Lord Barbatos. I did not know the neighboring archon is visiting." Said Xiao. The Anemo archon gave him a kind smile and told him it was a sudden visit.
"You don't need to bow to me dear Yaksha. I am not your archon. Please rise" Said Barbatos.
"What nonsense. Even if you are not his archon, you are still an archon nonetheless." Said Morax. Barbatos didn't say anything, knowing too well he won't win a fight with the god of Contracts.
"I have been meaning to ask you Barbatos. Will you help Xiao with his anemo powers? I'm quite worried since none of the other adepti has the ability of anemo." Asked Morax. Barbatos widened his eyes, as if not expecting the question.
"Why the sudden question, Morax?" Asked the god of Anemo. Morax smiled and said "You are the only other immortal with anemo powers. You are the Anemo archon after all so perhaps you can train Xiao to be better with his vision." The Yaksha who has long risen up looked at the two archons, feeling awkward with the discussion being about him.
"If Xiao is fine with it I suppose I have time before creating the ruling system." Said the Lord of Anemo. "It would truly be an honor to train with you Lord Barbatos." The Yaksha replied.
The Geo archon looked at the Anemo archon. "Even Xiao wants help with his anemo vision, Barbatos. I hope you can train him until he masters all the anemo abilities he has." Said Morax.
The Anemo archon looked at the Yaksha and sighed. "Alright then, Training starts next week."
