Barbatos sighed as he walked around Inazuma right after his training session with Xiao. He was so tired he could faint and never wake up.
He opened his wings, getting ready to head back to Mondstadt until he smelled smoke coming from nearby. Barbatos immediately followed the smell of smoke. Hoping that no one is harmed.
When the smell of smoke is getting stronger, he opened his wings and fly, wanting to get there faster. Finally,he arrived at the scene, a small house was burning.
The Anemo archon looked around, trying to find the cause of the fire. While he was rounding the small house, he saw a person in the forest. He could sense the immense sadness and pain coming from the person.
He walked to the person and could hear him mutter "he.....betrayed me as well". Barbatos decided to speak. "Now why would you say that, my dear?". The person flinched and looked up. Barbatos was surprised with the look of the person. They look like a teenager.
"Who are you? You don't look like a god from here." Asked the person. "Who I am is not important right now. What are you doing near the burning house? You could get injured." Barbatos scolded lightly. The person wiped the tears stain trying to make himself looked presentable.
"I burned the house. My friend's dead body is there and he has no family so I burned him and his house." Barbatos gave him a sympathy look. "I'm sorry for your lost,little one. Now, I can feel you getting cold. How about I cook you some soup?" The person looked shocked.
"Why would you do that for me?" The person asked. Barbatos smiled at him. "No reason." He spoke.
Barbatos walked to a nearby pot after gathering some materials, the person following behind him. He cooked the person soup and wrap his wings around him, hoping the person would feel extra warm.
He watched as the person drink the soup and gave him the bowl back after finishing it. He took the bowl and put it beside the pot. "Now, how about we go find your family?" Barbatos said. The person hesitated before saying " I have no family, my mother abandoned not long ago."
Barbatos looked at the person and said, " Well why don't I be your family?" He said smiling. The person look unsure and said " I have had enough betrayals. I don't want to feel the pain ever again."
Barbatos laughed and said, "Don't worry, I won't be leaving anytime soon." The person seemed to light up and said " If that's so then I accept." Barbatos gave him a motherly smile and caresed his head.
"Well now that we are family, let's get to know each other better. I'll start, I'm Barbatos. The Anemo archon of Mondstadt." Barbatos spoke. The person looked shocked before calming down as Barbatos told him to.
"Now how about you? What is your name?" Barbatos asked. The person hesitated before saying.
"Kunikuzushi. My name is Kunikuzushi."
