Chapter 6: Lantern Rite

It is the time for him to finally show his face to the people of Liyue. He was more excited than nervous. As far as he know. He has been a mystery to Liyue for centuries and it is finally time to reveal himself. He then went to go check on Kuni.

Kuni was playing with his hair which he has put into a ponytail. It was easier and simple. Exactly what he likes. He is not excited for the festival but he saw it coming. Oh well, at least he is able to try new sweets and food (I know he likes bitter things but just bear with me ok?). He has grown quite fond of food. When he returns to Mondstadt, the first thing he will do is fill his domain with sweets.

There was a knock on his door and then a voice "Kuni, are you ready?". That was his Master's voice. "I'm ready Master, just let me fix my bed" he said before quickly try and make the bed look slightly less messy. He then opened the door and he was met with Barbatos. He looked beautiful. No surprises there. Even in his mortal form as a bard, he was the beauty of Mondstadt. If there were beauty pageants there then he would probably win. Morax is one lucky bastard (please venti, one chance just one chance).

"Wow Kuni you look so pretty" Barbatos said. He smiled, despite them being from different countries they actually look alike. The small waist, their height, their pretty faces and more. Heck, he even has some men trying to seduce him whenever he is in town. He would just walk away from them, sometimes he punched them..... Ok well most of the time. "Thank you. You look gorgeous, Master." He replied. Barbatos smiled and thanked him. "Let's go to Luhua pool. That's where we'll meet Morax" without waiting for a response he took Kuni's hand and teleported to the place.

When they arrived he was met with a sight of the Geo archon who has his emperor attire on. He smiled when he spotted them. Barbatos ran and hug him like a wife missing her husband who just came back from military (lucky bastard). Oh how he wish he had a heart to feel the feeling called love. He was never capable of feeling this feeling and I mean romantically. It was fine though, now he don't need to worry about another betrayal.

Kuni heard his name being called, he looked at Barbatos who extended his hand, he assumed it was for teleporting to the harbor. He could teleported there himself but he didn't want to upset Barbatos so he grabbed the hand and teleported to the harbor. They didn't go to the exact place where the summoning is, maybe for Morax to make his grand opening. Morax then turned to Barbatos. "Are you ready, my love?" He said. Barbatos smiled at him and nodded. 'Ready for what?' Kuni thought.

Barbatos told him to go to the place where they will be appearing soon. He made his journey through the stairs of hell (I hate stairs so imma make him hate it too). He really doesn't like stairs. He is going to snap the head of the so called genius who invented stairs one day. When he arrived he was met with the current tianquan doing the summoning and soon appeared Morax.

Everyone started to clap like crazy but then stopped as Morax said he wanted to make an announcement. "My beloved people. It has been quite a while since the last hint of my spouse, 50 years to be exact. Forgive me for delaying the reveal of my beloved. He is now ready to show himself to all of Liyue." He then stepped aside to reveal Barbatos in a hanfu with his wings out. He doesn't wear his usual braid.

There was pin dropped silence. Then all of the people started cheering like crazy.  He didn't understand what was the hype. Then again, he did hear that the last hint was 50 years ago so the whole of Liyue probably waited for centuries for the reveal of their soon to be empress. "Go on, introduce yourself, my love." Morax said. The people started to go quite again, waiting patiently for their empress's name.

"Greeting to all of you, children. I am Barbatos, from Mondstadt." The people started cheering again. Some even cheered 'Barbatos Barbatos Barbatos'. He could hear some people talking like 'can you believe that the Anemo archon is Lord Morax's lover?!' or 'Lord Barbatos will be a great lover for our Lord. He is so pretty too.' or other thing about Barbatos. He was happy that the people of Liyue were happy to know that Barbatos was the long awaited empress.
