42. You Survived

"You survived."

"The should be your motto!" Davina declared. "Oh that would be so fun. House Grady you survived..." davina laughed out. "Oh do you still say congratulations you survived your first night to guests?"

"Of course. Thats a big accomplishment." Lena agreed.

"Rhaenyra we should go to Jurassic Island. I know you would love it!" Davina exclaimed. "Draeya Gods my Draeya she would love it. Shes a little spitfire. Gives Harwin a heart attack I think he is hoping that Vaera and Haezel continue to be angels because Draeya is a mini me."

"Gods two of you. The horror." Lena agreed.

Rhaenyra flinched immediately at the pain of the needle and ink being repeatedly stabbed into her skin.

"How in seven hells were you so calm about this?" Rhaenyra demanded.

"Be glad Lena convinced you to pick something smaller." Davina remarked. Rhaenyra clenched and unclenched her fists before holding up her finger to Davina. "Beautiful."

"Your turn. Remember I said I wanted matching." Rhaenyra reminded her and Davina chuckled sitting back down. "OH OH THE PAIN!" Davina teased before shooting Rhaenyra smile. Alicent however was growing more nervous by the moment. Rhaenyra leaned into Davina as Lena worked yet again.

Rhaenyra thought back to all the times that Davina was her biggest supporter, her biggest advocator and now she was friends with Alicent.

Rhaenyra didnt have to like Alicent, but it was clear she wasnt going away. She leaned into Davina remembering the first time Harwin made a move. Rhaenyra had a crush on Harwin back then, she supposed his younger brother was a good substitute but still she wondered about her future, she thought this bond would help bring them into the future bring back some of the magic but then Davina asked Alicent in on what Rhaenyra thought was going to be a good moment, bonding just the two of them.

Davina held up her finger to Rhaenyra before laughing out. Alicent peered at them trying to see what they had gotten done but Davina put her finger down and instructed Alicent to sit.

"Trust me." Davina whispered resting her chin on Alicent's shoulder.

Alicent moved less than Rhaenyra, for all the pain she had suffered in her life some pricks on her finger was nothing.

"Can I look?" alicent asked.

"Nope." Davina corrected.

It was strange being this close to Rhaenyra again. Alicent and Rhaenyra used to be the best of friends and then they became strangers and now, she didnt know what they were. But she assumed it was Davina's plan. Spending all this time together while Lena did her thing.

Rhaenyra and Alicent didnt fight but they also didnt talk much, Davina thought it an achievement though.

'Forever." Alicent whispered looking down at it.

"And Always." Davina whispered. "I'm here, always." she assured and Alicent hugged her tight. She felt like she got some family back. Some sense of normal, a sister when Davina decided to take Alicent under her wing. Davina was glad she could help, she was in a better state than she was before. Her mind was clear because she had Harwin and he treated her like a queen.

Helaena asked if she could get one and Davina said when she was older. She then asked if she could a matching on too. Davina nodded and told her to start thinking. Helaena took it seriously but she already knew what she wanted with Mama Dav.

"My anchor." Davina whispered hooking her finger with Harwin's. "That was really sweet."

"I felt left out." Harwin informed her. "Lena is very talented. How did you say you met her?"

"When I went to the island of course." Davina answered.

"The dino island."

"Yep, I was young and stupid and Lena and I hit it off. " Davina agreed. "reckless and wild, I swear she could be a distant cousin or something, she is just like me." 

"What a terrifying thought." Harwin mused. "We already Draeya." he added as Davina slapped at his chest.
