"Five, six, seven, eight," Davina clapped out. "And I am ready to-'' she twirled her hands around. "Give up!" she declared lifting her hands up to the sky.
"Mama!" Haenry laughed out.
"I hated etiquette, I still hate it." Davina remarked. "This is so very stupid."
Alicent stared across at Davina and Rhaenyra. When they got home Viserys had hoped that Jace and Daeron would have been best friends, they still were not. But the boys did dote on Vaera and Haezel but they were more interested in each other then their cousins.
Draeya was annoyed. At 6, her, Haenry and Aemond were in their first etiquette class. Aegon and Helaena had joined them. At two, Jace, Vaera, Haezel and Daeron were still trying to figure out walking without stumbling. Vaera and Haezel clung to each other as they walked using each other for balance as they took off running, Cookie and Monster chasing after them.
"You don't have to do etiquette." Rhaenyra reminded Davina.
"She does." Harwin corrected sweetly. "It was part of the deal Draeya made thinking there was no way davina would agree to it."
"And she was right." Davina added. "I didnt until given proper motivation." Harwin kissed her deeply and she smiled leaning into him.
"Mama, thats not practicing." Draeya informed her.
"Daddy likes how I dance." Davina countered.
"You promised." Draeya reminded her. Davina looked to Harwin.
"Come on," Davina coed pulling Harwin with her. "Rhaenyra find a partner, don't let me suffer alone."
"You call dancing with me suffering?" Harwin countered.
"Alicent, grab Criston, he looks bored." Davina instructed. "And a bored guard becomes a lazy guard."
"Thanks Davina." Criston murmured.
"Always here to keep you on your toes." Davina agreed.
"I want to," Haenry declared.
"I want to, I won't have a partner." Aemond countered.
"She's my sister." Haenry reminded.
"Then dance with my sister." Aemond suggested.
"You dance with her." Haenry corrected.
"I want to dance with Draeya!" Aemond declared. But Draeya walked past them both and picked up Haezel spinning her around.
"Mama, Draeya needs a real dance partner." Haenry declared pointing a finger at Draeya.
"She has one." Davina remarked.
"No, she needs a boy to dance with." Aemond agreed.
"Says who?" Davina countered and they stared back up at her before looking at each other confused.
"The scary lady with the big hair." Haenry offered looking to their etiquette instructor.
"She is an old fuddy duddy." Davina remarked and Harwin chuckled.
"This is why mama needs etiquette." Harwin remarked. "Draeya please pick a taller partner." Harwin requested. Draeya sighed putting Haezel down. Haenry and Aemond were nudging each other out of the way but again Draeya walked past them.
"I would ask you to dance," Draeya remarked glancing back at Harwin. "But mama gets jealous."
"I think I could manage for you." Davina offered.
"Ser Criston." Draeya held out her hand for him.
"Snooze you lose, Alicent." Davina laughed out.
"Mama!" Haenry begged.
