"I had a thought mama." Aemond remarked. Draeya leaned back against the dresser as Davina shifted Aelyx in her arms.

"Is this a thought suitable for baby ears or am I going to need my hands to emphasize how bad or wonderful this is?" Davina countered. Draeya took Aelyx from her. "Oh good that sort of conversation."

"Mama just have an open mind!" Aemond demanded. "I know you are... I know you all have been..."

"Aemond is to be king. You know it. you want him to be king more than Rhaenyra.' Draeya translated confidently.

"You need Draeya's confidence." Davina remarked.

"Thats another thing-" Draeya began.

"One situation at a time please my love." Davina countered.

"Well?" Aemond questioned.

"I want you to be king." Davina assured. "You are doing well at the meetings, but let me handle things for now. Lead. Be a constant, be seen and heard, you are my smart boy, you will be the king but Viserys is not-"

"He is dying and we all know it mama." Draeya whispered.

"He is fine." Davina lied.

"You never see him, we never see him. He lays in bed with his maesters tending to him." Aemond added as Aelyx babbled in Draeyas arms.

"Aemond, Draeya it is late my loves, please.... Viserys is...." Davina kissed his head. "Go to bed."

"He is dying mama." Draeya told her. "He has been for a while now. The council loves you. You are a better hand than uncle viserys ever was as a king."

"Dreaya, please. He is my brother, the only brother I love. He did the best that he could be he wasnt meant to be king. He loved his books and studies. A reign of peace was not a loss-''

"It didnt challenge him. You will be challenged in the moons to come." Draeya declared.

"You will do well because we know you mama Dav." Aemond agreed. "We just want to help you."

"And you are. You both, you all are." Davina agreed hugging them tight. "I just dont want to think about whats to come... alright?'' They nodded softly. "Good, thank you. Now my loves it is late. Go to bed." Davina begged.

"Three.'

'Two.' Aelyx shouted happily

'Three.' Harwin countered.

'Two.' Aelyx said determined his little smile wavering.

'Three.' Harwin said holding up three fingers. Aelyx's face contorted as he tried to hold up three fingers

'Two one go!'

'Three. You missed three.' Harwin countered blocking his path and Aelyx pursed his lips.

'Two on-'

'Three. Three.' Harwin said laughing. Again Aelyx's face contorted.

'Two-'

'Three.' Harwin repeated and Aelyx scrunched up his nose finally holding up three fingers as Valyria came out.

'Three.' Aelyx repeated slowly.

'Good! What's next?' Valyria questioned holding up two fingers, Davina came up slowly from behind them.

She had been against another baby, she was done with that stage in her life of growing tiny humans. Not because she didnt want another... but because Viserys got weaker and she knew or rather she didnt know what was to come. But seeing Aelyx growing and learning. Almost two years old and so full of life. It brought more love back into the capital.

'GO!" Aelyx declared taking off running a big smile on his little lips as little legs ran off happily. Davina smiled as he ran into her stumbling to a stop.

'Hi ma!' Aelyx declared "ook 'ere the stars!" Aelyx declared and Davina glanced up.

"Where are the stars?" Davina translated. "It's day time, the stars sleep during the day and party all night."

"I party?" Aelyx questioned.

"star party?" Davina pondered. So that night they all stayed up. Viserys even joined them for a bit.

Viserys closed his eyes and listened as Davina told them all a story. A story Viserys had told her many years ago. It made him smile at the memory.

Their mother loved the stars, Davina lay back on the grass Aelyx copied her as she reached out a hand.

"My mother and Viserys, they taught me about the stars." Davina remarked. On crystal clear nights they would all come out and Davina would tell them a different story about the stars and the constellations.

It made her feel closer to the people she loved. That no matter how old they got they still wanted to hear a story about the stars and spend the night with their mother.

"Don't give it her."

"I wasnt going to." Alicent agreed.

"Then why havent you burned it yet?" Criston countered.

"What are you two whispering about?" Davina questioned coming up behind them. "You kiss and... what's that?"

"Nothing." Alicent declared her voice rising an octave as she hid the scroll behind her back.

"Really convincing." Criston murmured.

"Give it." Davina agreed holding out her hand.

"It's stupid. Love notes... Ser Criston wrote me a love note." Alicent offered.

"I would hope you wouldnt still be calling him SER if you were ka-noddling." Davina countered snapping her fingers and Alicent put the scroll in her hand.

"What's going on?" Harwin questioned.

"Don't say I didnt warn you. As your best friend I think this is bad for your mental health." Alicent remarked.

"Are we besties?" Davina mused un scrolling it. "That's sweet, I like that." Davina agreed.   Alicent felt a flutter in her chest. They had never put a name on their relationship, their friendship, but Alicent knew, Davina knew. But was still nice to say it out loud.

"It's like he was trying to outdo me." Davina remarked throwing back the scroll she watched it burn. "Daemon and Rhaenyra had twins..."

"What are you going to do?" Harwin questioned.

"Do? Oh nothing." Davina assured.

"I havent known you to be civil my love." Harwin countered.

''I havent lost the taste for small rebellions.'' Davina agreed.
