Dancing with our hands tied // Jon Snow out now!!

''Everything sucks. Just kidding. Everything is great.'' Davina declared. Rhaenyra stared back at her. ''No really. I havent thought about Daemon in weeks. Oh wait... fuck I just did. But everything is fine. Really.'' Davina assured pouring herself another glass. ''Because I have Dreaya and Haenry i have Harwin who I love. Am I mad? That he chose a child over his family. Why would I?'' Davina hissed.

It was like Daemon kept sending ravens knowing that Davina ignored them until she finally looked and it made her head spin.

Married Laena, Laena of all people.

Got her pregnant, twins.

Across the narrow sea and still trying to drive her up the wall.

''Its a beautiful day for a ride.'' Davina remarked.

"Auntie-"

"I told Harwin. I kissed the kids and I will be back." Davina assured.

"Where are you going?"

"I don't have the foggiest idea." Davina remarked pulling herself up on Fury. "That's the best part. But I promise I will be back."

There was something about being in the clouds that always made Davina feel better. She lay back, feeling the purr of Fury under her, her hair blowing in the breeze. She wasnt getting any colder so she assumed Fury was going south.

She gave him control when they did flights like this. When she needed to feel the clouds and Fury knew where he was going. Davina felt him shift speed, descending and she sat up looking around.

"The desert?" Davina asked fury incredulously. "No. I don't like... Oh... hello Dorne." Fury snorted his approval. "You are right, always right." Davina agreed.

"Princess Davina, Welcome.... what brings you to Dorne?"

 "Just flying by." Davina remarked.

"Please, our princes will want to greet your personally." the knight offered.

"Sure, sure." Davina agreed nodding to Fury. He knew the drill. When Davina let him take charge of direction he would drop her off, find something to eat and come back.

Viserys and Daemon used to say that Davina and Fury were one and the same. Davina believed them. Fury was like an extension of herself.

"Princess Davina, your grace." the knight announced.

"Hello Matrells." Davina declared. "Long time." She looked between the princes. Tommen Martell caught her eye. "You got taller." Davina remarked pointing to Tommen.

"And you get even more beautiful." Tommen told her.

"It's been too long." Davina told him. "I get here in no time whatsoever, whats your excuse? Busy in the water gardens?" Davina mused.

"Oh yes, pruning in the water gardens all day, don't have time to go to the capital." Tommen agreed. "I heard you got married... again."

"I did." Davina agreed.

"And he lived?" Tommen asked surprised.

"I don't know where people got the idea that I'm such a horrible person, killing husbands. Honestly. Legitimate reasons for all their deaths. Not my or Fury's faults.... whatsoever." Tommen chuckled hooking his arm with hers.

"I'm glad you are here." Tommen told her. "The conversation has grown stale here without your humor."

"My big mouth you mean?" Davina countered.

"That too." Tommen agreed.

"Alright, are you going to tell me why you ran this time?" Tommen asked their legs hanging into the water gardens.

"Ran? No I didnt run." Davina corrected. "I don't run." she told him seriously. "it hurts my knees."

"Davina!" Tommen laughed out.

"I flew. What? You were very incorrect." Davina reiterated.

"What sent you flying away?" Tommen countered.

"Daemon."

"Usually was him." Tommen agreed softly.

"I just, hate that he still has this hold on me." Davina remarked. "I needed a unbiased opinion. a voice of reason to snap me out of this." Davina offered.

"What do you mean? You have a husband, twins, a good life, dont you?"

"I do. I love them. Harwin treats me better than Daemon ever did." Davina admitted. "But there is this invisible string, tying me to Daemon. I can't find it and cut it free."

Tommen thought about that as he leaned back on his palms. Davina glanced over at him. She waited patiently for his answer. Tommen knew she was struggling, Davina was never patient.

"Davina, you are my oldest friend. I saw you and Daemon together and apart." Tommen reminded her. "When we were all kids and you were trying to figure out what that feeling was and through some of the ups and downs of him breaking your heart." Davina nodded. Daemon broke her and she kept running back to him.

"He took the beating of my heart, it didnt work the same..." Davina whispered.

"But now?" Tommen encouraged.

"I love Harwin." Davina told him honestly. "I love him and the twins. BUt every time Daemon ravens, I want to rip his head off."

"Well, you know I havent lost the taste for small rebellions." Tommen remarked giving her a nudge.

"I love Harwin. I love our kids. I am happy but then Daemon peers in on my happiness and just... snatches it." Davina whispered.

"I always thought you were too good for Daemon." Tommen remarked. "I knew how in love you were and I didnt want to be the one to say Daemon is a cunt."

"It would have saved me some heart ache." Davina countered.

"Or you would have pushed me away and I would have lost my friend." Tommen retorted and Davina nodded, probably right. She was so in love, so blinded by it...

"As long as we had each other it was enough... but he kept choosing every one else." Davina remarked. "I didnt see it. Or when I did see it, I pushed it away, like it was nothing, he wasnt doing anything wrong... and when I did push him, I pulled him back again... forgave him so easily."

"Your heart and your head were clouded." Tommen offered. "Now I think you have clarity."

"I do... I think I do." Davina agreed. "but I don't get it, I dont get what I did to deserve being treated like that... time and time again..." Davina splashed her leg down as a fish swam around her feet.

"I couldn't get over his lips, falling asleep, head on his chest... Thanking God for every minute, that we got to be vulnerable..." Davina whispered.

''It's like I was drunk, now I'm sober. We could've talked through our issues, but Daemon didnt like to be vulnerable. I don't get it, what the hell did I do? Tommen what did I do?"

"Nothing, you didnt do anything wrong." Tommen assured.

"Then tell me why he had to be like that, after all, we went through.... Tell me why."

"I dont have an answer for why Daemon turned out the way he did. I'm sorry for your sake that he broke your heart. But Dav, you are stronger than this. You are better than crying and allowing that man to break you again and again." Tommen told her. "Now get off your sexy ass and fly back to your husband. Show him that strong and confident Davina I grew up with."

"Thanks Tom... I knew- well Fury knew, I let him navigate and he knew I needed a friend."

"Always got me."
