Karl opened the room and found Rina brushing her hair at the mirror. He didn't say anything and just closed the door silently. He walked to the bed side and plugged his phone.
He then walked to his drawer and brought out his cigarette. He was busy looking for the lighter when he noticed it on the mirror table. He walked over there and was about to take the lighter when Rina held his hand.
"After bringing Mandy home, you still want to smoke?" She asked looking at him.
"I'm tired now.....I don't really have time to argue" he said before removing his hand from rina's grip and taking the lighter.
Rina watched him light the cigarette silently. He walked to the balcony and sat on the floor.
Rina felt like punching something and crying at the same time.
"Karl" she called his name but he didn't answer. She gave up and laid on the bed to sleep. She closed her eyes and tears slowly came out.
The next day, which was Saturday. Rina opened her eyes to see no one beside her. She turned to the balcony but he wasn't there.
She slowly got up from her bed and got in the bathroom.
When she was done, she wore her clothes and got out. When she came downstairs, she met only Karl at the dining.
She walked silently and sat beside him.
"Good morning" she said as she collected a bread from Karl's plate.
"Morning" he said while pressing his phone.
They didn't say a thing to each other again. Rina was eating quietly and Karl was on his phone.
"Did you sleep?" She suddenly asked making him look at her.
"Yeah" he said.
"Okay" she said.
"You want to ask me something?" He asked seeing her expression.
"No. You don't want to talk to me so don't worry" she said and Karl smiled.
"Who said?" He asked.
"You said" she said looking at him.
"You're so funny babe" he said before sipping his coffee.
"I thought you are mad at me. Maybe that's why you brought Mandy home" she said and Karl sighed.
"Are we still doing this?" He asked.
"We were never doing it" she said.
"Rina up till now, you're still mad that I brought Mandy home. Do you think I would be into her?" He asked and she was quiet.
"You carried her home Karl. Why won't I think" she defended herself.
"For fuck sake babe, she was drunk" he said annoyingly.
"And so what? It doesn't matter" Rina argued back.
"I won't discuss this matter with you anymore" he said.
"Why? You want to deny what's between you and Mandy?" Rina said and immediately she regretted saying that.
Karl looked at her in disbelief.
"Sorry" she said looking somewhere else.
"I'm disappointed" Karl said before getting up and going upstairs.
Rina sighed and kept on eating. She stopped when she heard Mandy's voice. She looked and saw Karl and Mandy talking at the stairs.
"I am sorry about yesterday" she said.
