Chapter 70

The next day, rina woke up and did see Karl beside her. Seeing him quickly made her mind drift to last night. She couldn't believe she told him everything and yet he wasn't mad. What was all the fright for? He changed bit by bit.

"Baby" she called but he only scratched his eye and continued sleeping.

"Karl" she called again and this time he didn't even move.

She wondered if he was going to work or not. Just speaking about work, she remembered she had a night shift today and she had planned to see Flora and perhaps speak to Mandy about her and Mg's breakup.

She got out of the blanket and got up from the bed. She walked to bathroom.
After brushing her teeth, she took her bathe which lasted for about thirty minutes knowing she wasn't rushing for work.

When she came out, she met Karl sitting on the bed half awake. His hair was messy but yet still looked good. She smiled at his sight before walking to the mirror to dry her hair.

"Good morning baby" she did while brushing her hair.

Karl looked at her and realised she had already taken her bathe.

"Morning" he said before getting up from the bed lazily.

"You're late for work" she said to him and he got into the bathroom.

When he was out, rina was done dressing. She was wearing her perfume and looking at herself in the mirror.

"How am I looking?" She asked turning around.

Karl gave her a side smile telling her it was okay. Anything was okay to him.

She still remained there admiring herself like she has just fallen for herself.

Seeing her at the mirror, he walked to her and slowly wrapped his arms around her stomach making her smile.

"What's up?" He asked while brushing his lips with her neck.

"I'm fine, how about you?" She asked placing her hands on top Karl's.

"I am very fine today" he said sinking in the scent of her.

He slowly turned her around to face him when he leaned in and kissed her slowly and gently.

"I will be going to Mandy today" rina said and he was a little bit shocked.

"Why?" He asked as he left her and wore his wristwatch.

"To ask her about the thing you told me" rina shrugged.

"Okay, anyways, our company anniversary will be next week friday" Karl said casually while putting on a different chain from the one he normally wore.

"Really? How is the preparation going?" She asked.

"They are going pretty smooth" Karl said before sitting down to wear his shoes.

"I just hope things won't screw up that day" he said.

"Why would it? Everything would go really well, I assure you" she assured him.

"You aren't going to work?" It was then Karl realised she wasn't getting dressed for work.

"I was shifted to the night period" she said and Karl looked at her in confusion.

"But why?" He asked.

"Doctor Patricia eloped with her fiance, so i am her replacement" rina replied.

"So we can't spend time at all?" He asked and rina almost chuckled.

"Don't talk like you don't come back home late" rina told him.

Karl hated the fact rina had to do night shift. What time would he have with her? At morning he goes to work and night she goes. How will they meet?
