At night, flora had already gone home remaining Karl and Rina at the hospital. Karl sat on the stool beside as Rina laid down on her side facing him. She played with his fingers as he pressed his phone with his other hand.
"Can you kiss me now?" Rina asked and he slowly lowered his phone down and looked at her.
"Why?" He asked.
"No one is here, that's why" she said and he dropped his phone.
"Okay" he said and she quickly sat up straight.
"Careful" he said and she nodded smiling.
He stood up and sat on the bed with her, he slowly removed the hair on her lips.
"How did you sleep last night?" She asked when he was closer.
"I was so lonely" he answered her still looking at her lips.
"Am sorry......"
"Shhhh, it's not your fault right?" He said and she smiled.
He leaned in and their lips met, he took it really slow and gently because of her condition. After some minutes they pulled out.
"Promise me you won't leave me again" Karl said bringing his pinky finger.
"I promise" she said and crossed her pinky with his.
"What about you? Will you leave me?" She asked and he smiled before placing his palm on one side of her face.
"If I leave then you call me liar because I will never leave your side Rina. No matter what"
"Promise" she said bringing her pinky.
"Promise" he said crossing his finger with hers.
"Can we celebrate our anniversary next tomorrow?" Rina asked. Karl was quiet, was that really a good idea?
"Alright fine" he said and she hugged him. She was about to leave him but he didn't let go.
"Uhm Karl........"
"Stay like this for a while, please" he said while hugging her with his head buried in her hair.
"Are you okay Karl?" She asked and he nodded.
"I am really having a liking in hugging you" he said and she chuckled.
"Okay, isn't it enough?" She said and he finally let go.
"I remembered something now" Rina said and he looked at her.
"What?"
"Flora told me that you wanted to fight Andrew because you thought it was his fault."
"Geez, can't she not shut up?"
"Is that true?" Rina asked.
"I did that because it's his fault, he was with you so, he should have......"
"Karl it was my fault. I stood at the road stupidly, and I got hit by a car that's it. Don't blame Andrew all the time" She said and he fell quiet. He collected his phone and sat on the stool.
"I get the fact you were angry that....."
"I wasn't angry, I was afraid. I was scared for you" he said and she kept quiet.
"Anyway, I have to be going now. I will leave you to sleep" he said and stood up.
"Goodnight" she told him and he nodded. He turned off the light and left the room.
The next day, Rina waited for Karl to come in the morning but he didn't. It was only Zamora, Marius and flora that came to see her in the morning. Karl was busy at the office with these two annoying ladies.
