A day later, Rina waited for Karl to finish his phone call. She sat down in the car for about thirty minutes before he came. He entered the driver's seat and closed the door.
"Sorry" he said as he moved the gear and drove out of the house.
They were on the road when Rina turned on the radio. She switched to different channels to listen to music once she reached one that played music, she stopped.
"Your seatbelt" he said and she slowly buckled her seat belt.
"Are you feeling alright?" He asked and she nodded.
"It's just morning sickness. I will be alright soon" she said.
"We would have gone later, you should've told me" he said.
"It's okay" she said.
Karl was quiet as he drove to her mom's place.
"It occurs that today is World couple's day" the radio said. "Couples, it's time to show love"
"We're here" he said after stopping the car. Rina sighed before removing her seatbelt.
"If you're not fine, we can go back" he said.
"No it's fine" she said and he just looked at her for sometime before walking out of the car. He closed his door and then moved to rina's side. He opened her door for her and helped her get out.
She collected her purse and then walked to the entrance as Karl followed her.
She rang the doorbell and waited for sometime when they heard footsteps .
The door opened and they saw Marius. He was a bit stunned to see them.
"Mom! Rina and Karl is here" he said.
"Hey" he said smiling to them before letting them in. He was happy cause he saw Karl. Remembering what Karl promised to him.
Rina walked in and then sat down on the couch before Karl did.
"Where's mom?" She asked.
"I will call her" Marius said and walked to the kitchen.
They waited for sometime before Zamora walked in making Rina get up and hug her.
"Mom" she said as they hugged.
"How're you doing dear? You didn't tell me you were coming" Zamora said.
"Sorry" she said and stopped the hug.
"Karl was only less busy today" Rina said and Zamora looked at Karl.
"So your husband is not concerned about me?" She asked and Karl chuckled before getting up.
"I'm sorry" he said.
"It's okay, I just want to see your handsome face, that's all" Zamora said.
"Mom, you're making him uncomfortable" Rina said.
"Alright, let me get tea for you guys" she said before walking to the kitchen. Rina then moved to the shelf of books. She walked around as she looked at the books. Karl sat down and brought out his phone.
Marius then walked in and sat beside Karl.
"Hey" he said and Karl looked at him.
"You promised me something last time at the hospital" Marius said and Karl smiled.
"You still remember?" He asked as he moved to his phone.
"Yeah. You said I should remind you later" Marius said and Karl chuckled.
