"I think, I shouldn't have said that," he said quickly after realizing his bluntness.
"It's okay I was just—" my assurance was hindered by high pitched voice.
"Sorry guys, I am late. Warren stopped to grab some more fucking beer."
My gaze fell toward the entrance, there stood a girl, who looked the epitome of beauty, with gray eyes, reddish brown hair, high cheekbones, full lips, and heart shape face, anyone can be captured in her trance. Instantly, I comprehended that people would be worshipping the ground she walks on.
" It's okay, but did you bring some weed that I asked for?" Blake asked, and from the plastic bag in her hand, she drew out a small package and threw it towards him and he effortlessly caught it.
Without paying any heed to anyone, she strode to Aiden and sat on his lap. Abruptly, her mouth slammed on his, and they were kissing fiercely. His arm was around her back and her fingers tangled in his hair. As if feeling my burning gaze on him, his eyes promptly engaged with mine. He was still kissing Ava. I wanted to look away but the intensity his gaze was holding mine, I couldn't. My mind concluded she is his girlfriend. What a beautiful pair!
So why does there is uneasiness watching them together?
He ceased kissing her and a whine of protest heard from her. She strived to kiss him again but turned his turn, a sign he didn't want to be kissed.
"So, who is this new face?" an unfamiliar boy asked, pointing at me, who arrived with Ava.
He had chocolate brown hair which corresponded to his eyes, and like everyone, he had tattoos all over his body. He was a handsome guy.
"Oh, she is Emerald, my new roommate. she came here yesterday," Grace answered for me.
"Well, beautiful name for a beautiful girl," Warren quipped and I smiled, He seem easy going guy.
" Can we start fucking drinking?" Blake sneered. He was a very impatient person, I reckoned.
"Hold your horses, man," Warren said and took out a beer can from the bag and threw toward Blake.
He, then began to distribute bottles to everyone, and lastly, he approached me. He stretched out his hand forward for me to take to a can of beer.
"No, thanks, I don't drink." I blurted. He looked at me totally astonished.
"Really?" he asked uncertainly, testing if I am saying the truth or joking. I nodded looking down. I do not understand why everything ends up with alcohol, was alcohol a god that should be worshipped?
"Is she that goody two-shoe type of girl Grace, huh?" Ava asked, invading our conversation.
It was easy to figure out that she was discussing me. I can feel everyone's curious eyes upon me that encompassed Aiden's too, resisting their staring, I glanced at Grace with an expectant gaze to assist me in this dilemma, but she had something else planned in her head. She rose from the floor, snatching a can of beer from Blake's hands, who sat beside her, and strode towards me.
"Emerald we can change that easily, can't we? Show Ava you are no two goody shoes," she stretched her hand to offer me can of beer.
She was intoxicated. She didn't know what she was perpetrating. Everyone was impatiently waiting for my move.
My heart throbbed, wildly.
"Grace, I don't think so it's a good idea," I protested, softly.
"Let loose Emerald, you wanted a change, right? This is change, grab the opportunity." She persisted, only if she knew, this is not the change I want, this is the change I was running from.
