I cautiously drove his car, time and again, peeking at him for a vague reason, perhaps it could be his curly locks that are swiveling on his forehead and eyes, which he had oftentimes removed from his face in irritation, or perhaps his icy face emerged so tender that makes him seem almost fragile, however, he was harsher than the storm and worse than the enemy.
With my endless trail of thoughts, we reached his house. Hurriedly, I came to his side and gently patted his face, his dark, drunken eyes wide open, and scrutinized the surrounding. With my assistance, he withdrew himself from the car and we trudged inside his massive residence.
"Aiden, try to hold yourself, please." I drawled out through my clenched teeth, his muscular self wasn't helping at all. He slightly tried to make his posture straight, which was subtle relief. He staggered in between but I didn't let him fall, my whole strength was conjured to stabilize his movements.
"I shouldn't have drunk," he whispered in my ear, his hot breath caressing my cheek from proximity. His one arm draped around my shoulder and his face was positioned on my clothed shoulder, as we sauntered further inside the house. My skin was burning without fire, with his touch.
"If you knew then why did you?" My voice was as well a faint whisper, only for his ears not for the soul, not for walls.
"To forget, you know, sometimes intoxication is better than sobriety." he hiccupped, earning a stumble but I stabilized his fall. Agony and distress gleamed on his chiseled countenance.
" To forget what?" I implored further, immediately, his grip became rigid, and I saw a cold fury drizzled upon him. He pulled himself away from me.
" You don't fucking poke your nose in my business," he drew out harshly, his intoxication didn't make him less cruel. Why was I even helping him, all he doing was insulting and ridiculing me. He tottered like a fool without a destination and staggered once again. I galloped towards him.
" Let me help you," without the utterance of grievance, he granted me to carry himself further.
I plunged him on the couch in the living room because there was no possibility, I could take him upstairs. I scampered to the guest room where I had dwelled the night earlier to bring pillows and a blanket. When I returned, he was sprawled on the couch with his eyes closed. Deliberately, without eliciting any sound, I went to him. Firstly, I discarded his shoes and then put a pillow under his head and a blanket over him. Just as I initiated to arise from my crouched position, I felt a grip on my wrist and that hurled me down.
Electrifying energy awakened and my skin twinkled as I fell on his body. His face was an inch apart from me, and our breath mingled. His inebriated leaves-colored eyes collided with a never-ending sky-colored gaze, I felt a caress, soft like a petal on my cheek, spontaneously, my gaze sealed shut with this mysterious sensation.
"It makes me aggravated," he whispered, brushing his fingers on my cheeks.
" What?" I clutched his shirt more firmly, as I look deeply into his eyes.
"Your help." His fingers ceased their gentle movements and my gaze wide opened.
" Why?" He closed his sleepy gaze, making me think he was asleep but after a moment or two, his gaze infinitesimally opened.
"It makes me look vulnerable...and I hate to be vulnerable...again." For the first time, I existed muted and he was loquacious. Even in his intoxicated state, his phrases were cautious and calculated, not reflecting anything yet at a similar moment, he exhibited his unguarded inside.
"It makes you look human, and sometimes being vulnerable is acceptable until and unless it doesn't submerge you." The identical morning smile graced his soft lips, making my pluses quicken.
