"Emerald, Mrs. Stone should quit teaching, I can't grasp a word she uttered, how I am going past the semester?" Lucy complained, our lecture for the day was wrapped up but Lucy complaining and whining about the insincerity of the business law professor wouldn't cease, though it was true she was one of the educators who just toil for money and it doesn't a concern to her if learners are comprehending the concepts or not.

We strode near the exit of the University, with the books in our hands.

"I think we have to bear with her, it's our last year." I assured her. She grinned and abruptly she infinitesimally narrowed her eyes

"Emerald, why didn't you tell me that your roommate is Grace and you are friends with the most elite group of our university. Aiden is their friend, do you realize rich and handsome he is, what it means to be friend with him?"

I realized that I had never told her much about myself deeply and she was open book with me. I felt vile but I couldn't motivate myself to reopen a closed book that was filled with grief.

"Emerald?" she drew me out of my profound dwelling.

"I forgot about it. And except Grace and her brother Holden, I am not friends with any of them and especially Aiden. He is so mysterious person I ever seen in my life."

She sighed, heavily.

"How could you forget an important thing like this valuable information." her eyes wide delivering dramatic effect. "Yes indeed, he is mysterious but damn too hot!"

"I told you-"

"Emerald," a voice interrupted, I whirled and detect Holden was trotting towards me.

"Hey," he took a deep breath.

"Holden? What are you doing here?"

"You are forgetting that we go to the same college?"

He grinned.

"Ah, yes," I smiled.

" Emerald, I have to go, Roger is waiting for me there." She pointed at the distance where a figure stood. With a quick goodbye, I saw her retreating figure disappear in distance.

"Are you going to dorms?" He peeked at the books in my hand as I nodded.

"I can drop you there and before you oppose, I am for leaving there too." He professed.

"If that's the case then we should probably move," we strode to his car and settled in, he simulates a kind of music that I wholly detest but did not express it.

"I saw you left with Aiden yesterday night, I thought you hated him," he inquired breaking the silence, without averting my gaze from the magnificent panorama outside the window, I retorted, " I was the only sober person in the house, and hate is the strong word, he just gets on my nerves that annoy me but there is no hate."

I didn't want to admit to Holden that part of me persuaded me to assist Aiden.

"Aiden can't take care of his temper and leaves others to deal with his mess." He mumbled, predominantly to himself, his tone held resentment.

Instantly, I comprehended the justification behind the animosity between Holden and Aiden. Holden's father.

The question laid on the surface was, what happened to his father? Was Aiden really the reason behind Holden's father's death?

I remained quiet as if I didn't hear the animosity in his words. Soon, we reached my room and greeted the group. Warren, Grace, Ava, Blake, and Aiden were present there, they were lazily lounging in the room, and to my surprise, there was no alcohol.
