"How is your mom now?" I asked Elliot. We were strolling on the college campus ground, and also waiting for Lucy to emerge anytime now.

"She is fine now and she loved the flowers," he procured a warm smile which I reflected. Loud cries and shouts drew my attention to the region where a very fierce Lucy arriving, accompanied by her boyfriend.

My perplexing expression mirrored on Elliot's face, as we looked at each other.

" Didn't they break up? What is she doing with him?" Elliot asked, these days Lucy, Elliot, and myself formed a very decided and strong friendship so everything was laid out in the open only the exclusion was that I was yet to reveal deep factors of my past life to them. Every time I strived to unfold myself, the words struggled to pour out of my mouth, it just transmits me to the past. It was so easy and natural to divulge my history to Aiden. It was effortless with him and difficult with everyone, But why? I think won't ever find out.

Before a retort could abstract through me, I heard a rough scream from Lucy.

"Fuck off! I don't want to see your face again!" Roger stood there like her profanities are vile and vain.

" You throw yourself on me again and again, not the other way around!" his deep voice was circulating in the atmosphere reaching a few wandering ears in distance on the ground of campus and earning an amusing, sympathetic, frown looks from them.

I saw Lucy's face crumble and she was on verge of crying. In an instant, Elliot and I were sprinting to reach Lucy. Without paying any heed to Lucy, Roger withdrew and that's when the first drop of tear shone on her face underneath the sunlight.

" Lucy! What were you doing with him!?" I exclaimed, appearing near her as she wiped her moisture-stricken face.

" I-I... Yesterday night he called me and said he want me back and apologize, I thought..." Heavy tears cascaded on her cheeks. " He genuinely realized his mistakes and still loves me but I was played....... This morning he cheated on me again."

" Lucy, he is a piece of shit, he don't deserve you," Elliot said, and I nodded in agreement.

" Don't you think I know?" she mumbled between her sobs in a flat tone.

"So, why did you go back to him?" Elliot asked.

" What do you mean?" She infinitesimally narrowed her eyes at him.

"Why you are running back to him, he thinks you are easy and desperate, why are you giving him chance to humiliate you."

Elliot didn't attempt to conceal the bluntness and bitterness of his thoughts; however, he wasn't incorrect, Lucy deserves someone so much better and she needs to behold this fact and Elliot was performing his responsibility of being a promising friend. Perhaps the solitary fault here was the sharpness in the tone of opinion.

" Stop it, Elliot, you are crossing the line, I went because he apologized to me first!" She screamed at him. Animosity was spurting in her eyes.

" Only if this anger was directed to him, it could be fucking fantastic. You and I both know that he is not in love with you anymore, you had to accept it."

" Shut up! fucking shut up Elliot!" She pushed him and he stumbled a little back. I never saw Elliot this harsh but what he said was the honest and bitter truth. I placed my hand on her shaking figure for comfort.

" No Lucy, Elliot is right, you should let Roger go, he is not the one for you," her intense gaze wandered to Elliot then to me.

" I can't! I fucking can't!" She screamed, as indignant tears exploded from her eyes.
