A scanty portion of the light which was admitted from between the curtains arose me in the morning. A warm and safe feeling engulfed me, I acknowledged that Aiden's arms are wrapped around me and my head was resting on his shoulder. The previous twilight, after Aiden withdrew to the kitchen, he returned with the delicious food I ever savored, and after devouring the delicious sustenance our night concluded with the movie of my preference. Bereft of our completion, we fell into a deep slumber, maybe, somewhere in the middle of watching the movie.

Now as I explored his face, it appeared so soft and bare of any deformities. There was a conspicuous transition evident between us the night before, it was like we discovered a new province with fresh emotions in the most vulnerable conditions. Unintendedly, I vested the leverage to compel me to dance to his beats. Will he utilize this superiority to torment me? Only time could answer this question. However, I concluded that there wasn't any contrition after entrusting him with my secret.

My finger walked on the smooth skin of his face and then in the thick tangled curls which somehow managed to look graceful.

What are you doing Emerald? This was not what you were supposed to do.

I yanked my hand immediately after recognizing my misstep. He was resting with a peaceful mind regardless of his uncomfortable position, with a final glimpse of his attractive face, I descended to the bathroom to refresh myself.

When I returned, a wide-wakened Aiden relaxed on the bed examining my book 'Dangerous illusion'. His brows were drawn together in concentration like he was endeavoring to withstand the expressive composition of words.

My lips curled into adulation at his undertaking.

" Leave it, you won't understand the essence of it."

His head lifted at my voice." Are you by chance underestimating me?" He closed the book and rose from his seat.

" Me underestimating you? No. Never." Well, I was.

" Ah, that's what I thought," a complacent look monopolized his face. I obtained the book from the bed and held it in between our figures.

" But honestly, you won't understand a thing, this book is not meant for you."

" Don't challenge me, Emerald, A challenge with me doesn't concludes well," he playfully threatened.

Aiden reading a classic love affair was an absurd foresight. Perhaps, a part of me would certainly rejoice to watch the spectacle, however, it was impossible to bring it to existence.

" It's not about challenge, it's more about the understanding of the concept. This book revolves around love, and you have far, far no connection with it."

His face blanked.

" What is so special about love that you always defend it?" He asked, the disbelief and confusion gleaming on his exterior.

" There is nothing special about it, it is a very basic emotion which once you feel, then there is no going back, you just want to feel it again and again."

I smiled.

" Have you ever been in love?" When he asked, there was subtle impenetrability in it, like he disdain the idea of me being in love with someone.

When I think about it, yes, I have been in love, I have always been in love with my parents and also I been in love with the small panda stuff toy which my father brought for me when I was young, however, this all was a different kind of love, and of course, this book wasn't addressing this kind of love. This book was about two strangers, who fell in love and trust each other, and there is no doubt or questions about their relationship.
