PETER POV:
Yondu sat up and was a mix of surprise and joy. He hugged my dad while crying but I know that he will never admit it to the crew. They would think he's soft.
"Whose this guy again" asked my sister.
"Yondu, captain of the ravagers" I said.
After Yondu calmed down we got him some dry clothes and a heated blanket so he doesn't get frost bite.
"Pray you never learn just how good it can be to finally see another face" said Yondu.
He took a sip of his coffee.
"I didn't have much hope to begin with. But after so long I figured I most likely will be stuck here forever. After all my food was gone I put myself to sleep. I didn't even care to set a waking date" said Yondu.
"How long have you been here" I asked.
"Months, something went wrong with my teleportation and I woke up here in this hab. I wasn't able to contact anyone but I figured the crew would be okay without me babysitting them for a few months" said Yondu.
"Ya, turns out our ship was somehow merging with the kree ship. But we took care of that" I said.
"Good, how's the crew" asked Yondu.
"They are okay. They think you're dead though. We did search for you but after a while I guess everyone lost hope. Your funeral was nice though" I said.
"Well hope can only get you so far. I'd probably feel the same in their shoes" said Yondu.
He looked up at me.
"But why do your eyes look different" asked Yondu.
"Oh, y/n turned me into a kree to save my life after we separated the ships. I almost died that day" I said.
"And the stone" asked Yondu.
I shook my head.
"No, still haven't found it" I said.
We were silent for a minute.
"Yondu, what can you tell us about this world" asked my dad.
"A real world we hope. According to the map that I found here this place is called Mars. It has a atmosphere similar to earth. I did some research and took notes on this cold rock" said Yondu.
He got up and we followed him to a table while he got his paper work. Yondu put some boxes on the table and we started to go threw it. There was maps and notes about this planet.
"This planet has days similar to earth but slightly longer" said Yondu.
He grabbed a map and laid it on the table.
"Now here is where the hab is. Up here is more north and has a cold winter. Like it is right now. The seasons last a couple months so if we stay here long enough then you will see summer here" said Yondu.
He took a sip of his coffee and grabbed some more papers.
"Now the atmosphere is similar to earth but there is too much Argon to really breath anything else. Not enough oxygen for you terrans when it's only 6 percent" said Yondu.
"I thought mars had a thinner atmosphere" said my sister.
"It does, in our time. But in the past where we are now it doesn't. I think that is why we haven't found the stone" said Yondu.
He pointed to another spot on the map.
"Here is a cave system. The air down there is different. Far less Argon and there is plenty of clean water and soil. Even life. My guess is they are extinct in our time since mars lost its atmosphere" said Yondu.
"There's life in the caves" I asked.
"For now, and who knows. They might still exist in our time. If they are really smart or lucky" said Yondu.
