YOU POV:

We all gathered into the main room on the ship.

"Okay we have some new space laws to go over" said Peter.

"Sure we do" said Rocket crossing his arms annoyed.

All the aliens have agreed on a treaty that all of space is open waters basically and has rules.

"As you can see Rocket isn't happy about the bomb laws" said Peter.

"What do you mean I need paper work and ID to buy and carry bombs threw space? I did it without that stuff before. But no, now I need to go to xandar and fill out paper work so I can build bombs on the ship but we are allowed to have a toast maker on here" said Rocket annoyed.

"What about other weapons" asked Drax.

"We are getting there" said Peter.

He started to explain the new laws that were passed and or dropped. Mostly just what ships can fly, how big, transporting cargo, etc. Usually boring stuff.

"And finally, I'm sorry y/n" said Peter.

"What why" I asked.

"A new law was passed saying that everyone who travels threw space must have a translator" said Peter.

The group knows about my fear of translators.

"No" I said.

"The law says that you have to. Most if not every planet now will have a check point to make sure. That way it's harder to traffic people" said Peter.

"BUT I SPEAK MULTIPLE LANGUAGES" I yelled.

"It doesn't matter. The law now is you have to have one or stop traveling threw space" said Peter.

I am trying to remain calm and not panic.

"Well, what about Nasa? Earth doesn't do that" I said.

"No, they don't. However they have only gone to the moon and Terra hasn't left the solar system. Except for you and me" said Peter.

"Then what are we suppose to do" I asked.

"I guess either get a translator or no longer be a guardian" said Gamora.

We were silent for a minute.

"I'll be in my room" I said.

I left and went to me room. I closed the door and sat on my bed. Now I understand the law but getting a translator put inside of me is terrifying to me. However I want to continue to be a guardian. There was a knock on the door.

"Y/n, may I come in" asked Peter.

"Fine" I said.

Peter entered my room and closed the door before sitting on my bed.

"You okay" he asked.

"I don't know" I said.

"Do you want to talk about it" asked Peter.

"Is that suppose to erase my fear" I asked.

"No, I actually don't think fears ever go away" said Peter.

"And how does that help" I asked.

"Well, okay what I mean is you are always going to be scared of something. The universe is scary but also beautiful. What I'm trying to say is you shouldn't let fear stop you from doing what you love" said Peter.

"So what? Count to 3 and do it scared" I asked.

"Well, yes, I suppose that's one way to put it" said Peter.

"I'm not sure I'm comfortable getting a translator put inside me" I said.

"Okay, yes, but the law never said it had to be inside you. You just have to have one. Clip ons count by the way. So, you can wear one on your ear and turn it off if it gets too scary. No one will even have to know" said Peter.

Peter game me a small smile. Pirates always find loop holes.

"Okay, I will try a clip on. I guess it won't hurt anything. But I'm not having one put inside me" I said.

"And you don't have to. But if you ever decide to change your mind. And I know that is a very strong and unlikely if, I just want you know that I will be there to hold your hand" said Peter as he wrapped his arm around me.
