Not my best wring but I do have years of religious trauma and it has made me realize that I am scared of the power to control fire like how Johnny can. So I made a chapter of it. Which is also interesting because Johnny was never scared of his power and thinks it's so cool while I'd be terrified. So I made the read have the powers as a comfort story.
Y/N POV:
I entered the room and walked up to the others.
"How does it fit" asked Reed.
"Little tight" I said.
I looked at the suit I was wearing. Reed managed to make a suit that basically is the same as Johnny's just a smaller size.
"We can adjust it later" said Susan.
The team except for Johnny all went to stand a safe distance away. Johnny has the same power as me so he will be teaching me.
"How much experience do you have" asked Johnny.
"Literally none" I said.
"That's okay, we are just starting simple. No flying or anything yet" said Reed.
I looked at the others confused.
"Wait what makes you think I can fly" I asked.
"Johnny can" said Ben as he pointed.
Ben put his arm down and I looked at Johnny surprised.
"Oh ya, it is awesome. But Reed is right. Let's start with the boring stuff first" said Johnny.
"Okay" I said.
Johnny held his hand up.
"First just make a small flame" said Johnny.
"Like this" said Johnny as he made a small flame appear.
I put hand out and made a few sparks. It's not easy.
"Picture that you are holding a candle" said Johnny.
I took a deep breath and tried against to create a flame. This time was a small blue flame.
"Yes, that is awesome" said Johnny.
He put his hand closer to mine to compare.
"It's blue" he said.
"What does that mean" asked Susan.
"Probably that it's hotter. I'm sure it will be fine though" said Reed.
Johnny put his flame out.
"Put it out quick" said Johnny.
I tried to turn off the flame but it's not working.
"Put it out" said Johnny.
"I'm trying" I said.
The flame wasn't going out. I tried to put it out and relax but it's not working.
"MOMMY, WHY DIDNT YOU GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS"
"GO TO HELL"
"HELL IS ETERNAL FIRE AND PAIN"
I grew up with the whole fear hell and fear the devil so having this power is actually scary for me. The flame grew to gover my hand and then my arm.
"Put it out" said Reed.
"I can't" I said.
The room started to spin and it felt like I could breath as I was swallowed up by the flames.
"Y/n" said Susan as the others ran up to me.
"No stay back" said Johnny.
He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me. Which confused me a little.
"It's okay, you're okay" said Johnny.
I took a minute to calm down before hugging back. The flames went away and we stood there in silence.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"Don't worry about it" said Johnny.
We were silent for a minute.
"What happened? Why can't they control it" asked Ben.
"It took us practice two" said Susan.
"Although it's best we get their emotions under control" said Reed.
"Like Else in frozen or something" asked Johnny.
"Ya, but that's enough for today" said Reed.
The other three left and Johnny broke the hug but still held my shoulders.
"You feeling okay" he asked.
"Ya, I'm fine" I said.
I wiped my eyes.
"Do you want to talk about it" asked Johnny.
I shook my head no.
"Not yet" I said.
"That's okay, we can stay here tonight and watch a movie instead. I can make us popcorn" said Johnny.
He put his arms down.
"Okay, but nothing scary" I said.
"Great" said Johnny.
He left and got snacks and some movies for us to watch. He also showed me his trick to make popcorn with his powers.
