PETER POV:
I sat in the chair and looked out the window. Everything is a mess. To sum up I was taken by ravagers. Became a space pirate, fell in love, lost that love, had to save the pirate and kree ship, Yondu went missing, ravagers looked for him but now they think he is dead, funeral was nice I suppose, took some time off to see my dad. And that's everything. Now we are looking for a stone that might not be found. Recently we went to a water planet and almost died. We lost one guy. Now we are heading to Dr. Man's planet. I saw that I was getting a video call and answered it.
"Hey Pete"
"Hi"
"How's the mission"
The ravagers said. I broke down crying. It's been a lot. And honestly I'm scared I guess.
"I'm sorry" I said as I wiped my face.
Growing up on Earth meant no showing emotions because boys don't cry and all that other emotionless psychopath stuff.
"No, we all have been having a rough patch" said Kraglin.
"I got a guy killed. I don't even know his name" I said.
I wiped my nose on my sleeve.
"I'm sure it wasn't your fault. Accidents happen" said Kraglin.
"I know, but my dad told me to come back to the ship and I didn't. Which cost a life" I said.
I buried my face in my hands for a few seconds before wiping my eyes again.
"Anyway, how are you" I asked.
"The crew is good, but honestly I'll never understand how Yondu put up with some of these idiots" said Kraglin.
There was a few chuckles and a few eye rolls.
"I still don't want to accept that he's dead" I said.
"None of us do" said a ravager.
"We never found his body so it's possible he is still alive. But it's been months Pete. We can't find someone that doesn't want to be found" said Kraglin.
"I know, I just hate feeling helpless. Especially since he was there when you took me from earth" I said.
"Which sounds like a nice way of saying we kidnapped you from the hospital" said Tazerface.
There was a few more chuckles.
"Ya I remember. I was a little scared that day" I said.
"LITTLE"
"You tried to bite us"
"Well you get taken and tell me how you feel" I said.
"Good point" said a ravager.
We were silent again.
"Honestly though I do miss you guys. I thought that leaving to clear my head would be easy but, I don't know what I'm doing with my life. I'm looking for a stone that might not ever be found. I think I need to learn how to swim" I said.
"It will be okay Pete. Life is never easy. But you will figure this out" said Kraglin.
After a chat with the ravagers we finally made it to Dr. Man's planet. The stone might be here. We have been getting signals from a unknown source that says that he is stranded alone here but there is early signs of life on this planet. We bumped a cloud.
"What was that" I asked.
"Ice clouds" said my dad.
"I thought there was life here" said my sister.
"I guess we'll see but how old were those messages we got from here. Plus who sent them" I said.
"I guess we will find out" said my sister.
We flew to the location of the signal and landed before getting off. This planet is cold. Like really cold.
"A hab" I asked.
"Ya, but who placed it here" said my dad.
We entered the building and took our suits off. It's warmer in here. We started looking around for signs of life. Oh weird, they have a hibernation pod. I brushed some snow off the machine to see the screen. It's active with someone inside.
"Hey guys over here" I said.
Everyone stopped looking and came up to me.
"Hibernation pod. Pirates use them to smuggle live cargo sometimes" I said.
"Why" asked my sister.
"It's easier to steal something when it's not alive" I said.
Although hibernation scares me. The ravagers had me in hibernation for a year when they took me. And Yondu always told me he can put me back if I want.
"Whose in there" asked Tony.
"It doesn't say" I said.
We were silent and looked at my dad.
"Open it" he said.
I turned back to the pod and opened it to wake the person up. The lid opened up and showed a bag. My dad unzipped the bag and I felt my heart stop for a second. Yondu opened his eyes and took a few seconds to wake back up.
