Reader's POV

"No," I breathed as I finally got the image of Mother in my brain, "It's fine. I remember her."

Levi, who had gotten a little panic stricken at my panic outburst, calmed down upon seeing that I wasn't dying yet and there was still hope to save his friends.

"Don't worry. I'm not dying yet," I addressed Levi's concerns, "Maybe stress caused this. This likely won't happen again. I still can't remember the exact number of years but I'll ask Erwin later because now I want to know too."

Levi nodded before getting lost in his thoughts as I turned back to my book as a guise of thinking about what to do next in case he left his romance novel and went to pick another informative book about things he should not know yet.

Once I had prepared for what to say in the possibility that he picks another informative book, I actually decided to read my book as I flipped the page and got lost in it. A few minutes into the book and I could feel my blood my erratically. It had been for a couple of minutes now but it was ignorable then and now, it was actually getting uncomfortable. I looked up to figure out the source of my discomfort but as I did, I saw Levi's head move fast, downwards towards his book as he looked onto the first page of the story in the book after the acknowledgements.

Did he make the effort of reading the acknowledgements?

That's admirable since I don't know many other people besides me who read through that.

I looked back at my book since my blood boiling strangely had stopped for some reason and was only boiling like when an Ackerman was nearby as I finished the chapter I was on and then, there was a sharp knocking on the door that I recognized as Erwin's.

"Come in," I answered as Erwin entered, looking furious.

"Your Highness," Erwin tried to calm himself and not snap at me in front of an outsider, "We have guests from one of the most powerful Empire in the world and they are the most prominent figures in that Empire and you are in here, relaxing?"

"Then, what do you expect me to do?"

"Maybe you should do some of your paperwork, Your Highness. Maybe ordering me to take it to my office and complete it isn't the best idea when I'm already managing the guests and especially when I'm not responsible for Stohess's affairs," Erwin looked pissed as Levi looked up in surprise that was nowhere near mild upon seeing how I was being lectured by my own butler, considering the fact that I was the third most powerful figure in the Empire and all.

"I-I'll be there in a moment-"

"Your Highness," Erwin smiled at me and gave me a death glare, "I left your paperwork in your office. Please get up immediately."

"Levi's reading a book! Let him finish the chapter-" I made a terrible excuse because of the reason I already said, I wasn't especially good at improvising and on a different note, I wasn't too good at sarcasm and sharp replies either so if someone who was good at that wanted to destroy me and I didn't have Mikasa nearby, it would end badly for me.

"He can borrow it," Erwin didn't give me an option, "I'm sure Your Highness wouldn't mind."

"Erwin–"

"Your Highness," Erwin was firm, "Please get up."

I sighed unhappily and put my bookmark in my book and shut it before getting up as I asked Levi to go put the book in his room for now and return it as soon as he could to which he nodded, confused on why no one asked him if he even wanted to borrow the book in the first place.

I walked out of my library with Erwin as Levi went his own way, to put his book in his room before meeting me in front of his office.

"Your Highness should have at least one guard by your side at all times," Erwin narrowed his eyes, "And that guard should be Mikasa."
