Levi's POV

We had stopped to eat at an extremely decorated restaurant which looked like it was reserved for highly distinguished individuals.

The coachman had brought me in here while the prince waited in the carriage and I wondered why he would do that.

An elegantly dressed woman approached us and flashed us a fake smile, "May I know your identities, good sirs?"

"We're Ms. Ackerman's men," The coachman answered as he showed her a card which she looked at before offering to take our coats to which the coachman accepted and I followed what he did. The woman then led us to a table in the centre of the grand room with a ceiling so high that the grand chandelier adorning it didn't even come close to our head and sat us down.

What?

Aren't we the prince's people?

"I'm Lima. I will be your server for tonight. Please call me when you're ready to order," The woman bowed and left.

The coachman who had come with me looked stressed as he sighed, "Order what you want. We can't leave His Highness waiting for too long."

But how the fuck am I supposed to know what to order?

I looked through the menu book and everything looked like some old aristocrat had named it.

I looked at the drinks section and it offered various types of wines.

But not a single beer.

Not a single one.

Fuck this place.

"Found something?" The old coachman questioned as I got frustrated.

"I don't know what these things are," I scowled.

"Neither do I," The coachman casually answered, "So I'm just going to order according to His Highness's suggestion."

"Why didn't you tell me that before?" I glared.

"I didn't realise that you were the type of person to listen. So now that we have decided the meal, we have to decide the drinks. The prince's suggestion is the red wine of Marley but I have to drive the coach so I'll be picking another one."

"The red one is fine for me," I grumbled.

"Very well," He nodded before raising his hand up and calling the waitress over to us. Once she arrived at our table, she took our orders and left, saying that we would get them momentarily.

So we're going to eat here...

...while the prince waits in the cold carriage alone.

This doesn't make sense.

I don't mind leaving him there but it is unlike him to just sit in a carriage alone while waiting for someone.

It feels like he's trying to give me importance and with some suspicion, I would have accepted this conclusion had I not known him as much as I do now. The prince is not a kind person, he simply is not.

He saved people from the Underground because he has been down there before. Someone sent him there. It doesn't take a very bright person to understand that it was the Empress. He's only helping them to make himself feel better about the hell that he saw or maybe he just helped those people in hopes that Isabel would be one of them.

He sacrificed his reputation for the people for his conscience.

He let Furlan out of the dungeon because he wanted Isabel to like him.

And now he's doing this for...I don't know why.

In this world, everyone and anyone are mere tools to him. Maybe he wants to use me for something so he's giving me the high treatment.
