Reader's POV

"I'm tired," I said to Reiner who was gently applying serums through my short hair as I flipped through the newspaper.

"I know," Reiner gave a simple response before coming up with a complaint, "Also, can you hire a female attendant to apply shampoo and conditioner through your hair while you bathe? I don't wanna be there anymore."

"Don't be ridiculous," I flipped the page, "Of course I can't. I'm not trusting any more people with my secret. Besides, I do wear clothes at that time so you shouldn't have a problem."

Right now, I was sitting in my dress up chair, wearing my bathing robes while Reiner applied some after care serums in my hair after a full skin and hair care routine that I did to look ready for welcoming the French Empire's delegation today. Normally, they would be staying at the Imperial Palace but since they weren't here for an event or visiting someone in the main palace but to visit a grave in my palace, they were staying here.

"The preparations have been made?" I asked to confirm.

"For the zillionth time, yes. The chambers next to yours have been cleaned thoroughly and have been prepared for their stay," Reiner repeated his words that I made him say not too long ago.

"Say, Reiner," I couldn't find an interesting article in the newspaper so I held it down while fully relaxing into Reiner's head massage, "Do those two not like me anymore?"

Reiner froze for a second before continuing, "Who two?"

"You know who I'm talking about."

"I don't think so," Reiner hummed, "I think it just might be because they are realising their feelings and are accidentally making you feel like a third wheel."

"Stop talking like an old person," I straightened the newspaper with a sharp snap and continued scanning for something interesting.

"Y/N," Reiner put some new serum in his hands, "Do you trust me?"

"Huh? Of course."

"Then trust me with this. Those two are going to come around."

"Okay-" Before I could say anything else, Reiner very harshly applied the serum on my hair, "OW! What was that for?!"

"I'm sorry. But this is the way to apply this one. It's on the bottle," Reiner explained, "Now get ready. Your clothes are over there."

"Okay," I said as I got up before ordering Reiner to fold the newspaper properly and put it aside so I could read the article later which's headline caught my eye at the last second.

2 hours later

"They're here?" I asked Erwin while taking my place in front of him to wait for the carriage to enter along with Mikasa and Levi who were standing by my side but a little behind me.

"Yes, Your Highness."

I hummed in response as I saw the ten carriages which was the delegation of the French Empire enter my palace gates. The most central one opened to reveal the most prominent figure in the French Empire.

"Your Majesty," I spoke in French while meeting my mother's side of the family and immediately bowed as did all the others with me though I could sense some surprise on Levi's side as well as a little anger on having to do a full bow on one knee.

My blood didn't react to their blood because the same kind of blood didn't react together. That meant that I could neither detect a Yeager or Reiss nor be detected by one. Even if we belonged to different bloodlines, the blood detection would have gotten weaker over the years like a magnet that lost its power over time. It could last forever however, due to foreign, non-titan blood entering the lines which meant that after a few years of the first meeting, the blood wouldn't react.
