Reader's POV

"Ah!" I exclaimed as I slammed my head into the wall, "What the hell?!"

I took a few steps back to look at where I was and it was...

The hallway.

Did I fucking sleepwalk here?

Again?

I looked at what I was wearing and thankfully, it was still my disguise.

My head was still fuzzy because I just woke up but I could still think straight because I wasn't exactly fully unconscious while sleepwalking so I remembered what happened right before I fell asleep.

I wanted to go to sleep and to do that, I would have to take off my makeup and all and that dumbass, Reiner, kept delaying it by saying that he was cold and didn't want to come out of his blankets. I do remember him getting up to fetch the makeup removal kit from my luggage and I remember falling asleep then.

That lazy guy probably just let me sleep like that.

And didn't even pay attention when I got up and left the room.

Even though Erwin specially asked him to supervise me. My sleepwalking wasn't common but it wasn't exactly uncommon either. In case it happened, I was in my palace, safe and sound. Even if there could be a problem regarding my disguise, it at least wouldn't be a safety issue because everyone in my palace was on my side except the mole who, still, had never tried to physically harm me.

I sighed, thankful that I did wake up or I would have to spend the rest of the night in these uncomfortable clothes and a chest binder.

...With a sword in a scabbard tightly fastened around my waist that Reiner didn't even bother to take off of me.

But seriously, even Ath didn't notice that I was leaving the room? He's a wolf, for fuck's sake; he's supposed to have sharp senses. And he's nocturnal too. Why the fuck was he sleeping?

I sighed again, even heavier this time, deciding to go back to my room to get some sleep but that was before I heard a commotion.

I looked over at the balcony in the hallway and saw Marco, Jean and Sasha talking to a young looking and extremely beautiful black haired woman that I assumed was a refugee.

I mean, who else could she be? I'd remember if I hired someone as beautiful as her to work here.

I decided to approach the scene. I'd stepped down the stairwell and walked straight toward the scene but as I was approaching them, I felt something strange in my blood. It was boiling. As if there was an Ackerman nearby.

Is Levi down here?

No, I don't think that it's because of him. I only feel sensations this strong when it's the first time meeting the person. I felt this last when I first saw Levi. And before then was when I first saw Mr. Ackerman and the first time I felt it was when I met Mikasa.

The beautiful woman suddenly turned her head toward me as if she felt something too.

Is she...an Ackerman?

There is no other possibility.

But really?

I approached the scene as Jean struggled to hold the woman back and that was when she was in a frail condition. Marco and Sasha greeted me in place of Jean because it didn't seem like Jean was in a position to.

"Greetings, Your Highness. May I ask what brings you here at this late hour?" Marco kept his head bowed until I asked him to raise it.

"I was out for a walk before I heard a commotion. What's all this about?" I narrowed my eyes as the woman calmed down once she saw that I wasn't leaving.
