Reader's POV

"So that's what Y/N told me. That's the plan," Annie briefed the meeting between all of the nine because surprisingly, today, everyone was available.

"Hm. I see," Marlowe accepted the plan.

"But isn't it risky?" Reiner spoke up, "Are you ready to risk everything?"

"I'm willing to take the risk."

"You should know something Y/N," Annie talked to me, "I've heard from a spy in the Empress's palace that the Empress has found out who Levi is and wants him back."

"Huh? How?" I was shocked.

"I don't know. But if this intel is correct, it could prove to be bad for your future. You should be careful."

"I understand," I nodded.

"But hold on a moment, why have you been so quiet since yesterday afternoon?" Reiner pointed out, "And why is Mikasa so quiet? Neither of you have made any points in this meeting."

"Y/N is feeling unwell," Erwin defended me. I had told him what happened and he said that he would talk to me and Mikasa about it later, "And Mikasa is always quiet."

"But she's quieter than usual," Annie narrowed her eyes in suspicion, "Something seems to be the matter."

"Annie, why are you being like this?" I looked at her, "What do you think happened? I almost died and that's why she's upset."

"I'm upset as well but I'm not letting that make the meeting go off topic," Annie argued.

"Annie, you are different from her! You deal with things different from her! Just give her some space, okay?!"

"But why are you so calm?" Bertholdt joined in the conversation, "You were the one who almost died."

"But I'm alive now, aren't I? And now that the poison has been identified, I have been given the correct antidote and am recovering rather well."

"Except that you aren't," Marlowe began, "You are recovering, I admit, but not as well as one should, let alone someone of your strength."

"Marlowe," I presented my point, "The Yeager blood has barely been researched. Maybe this kind of poison hurts something specific in our blood."

"That is a possibility but a rather unlikely one."

"A possibility is a possibility nonetheless."

"If only you would let us test your blood," Marlowe massaged the tension out of his head, "I don't know why you are stopping us."

"She isn't letting you test her blood?" Annie's eyes widened.

"No, Your Ladyship. She isn't. And she refuses to tell us why. And there is only so much we can do with how badly she resists."

"You should get it tested," Bertholdt seemed nervous, "It is necessary."

"I understand but-"

"Y/N," Reiner gasped, "Is it because-"

"She already told us about you giving her poison on the ride there," Marlowe glared, "And that reminds me, we need to have a conversation about it."

"It wasn't my fault! She threatened me!" Reiner tried to save himself so he looked to me for support.

"Yes, I did threaten him," I admitted.

"It doesn't matter. Y/N, if you want to take the poison to build your immunity then consult me directly. The only reason I allowed Reiner to take poison with him was because just in case you wanted to kill somebody."
