Reader's POV
"What is it?!" I barged into Erwin's office, "What is the emergency?! A fire?! I swear I didn't go in the kitchen this time!"
"Calm down, Your Highness," Erwin seemed unaffected by my outburst, "There is no emergency. I simply wished to have you come here as quickly as possible."
"Hah?" I crossed my arms, "And why might that be?"
"Levi wishes to see his friend," He began, "I would like Your Highness to take him."
"Excuse me?" I was offended, "I am the master of this palace, not an escorteé."
"I am well aware of that, Your Highness but at the moment, Mikasa is on her day off and we need someone who matches Levi's strength to escort him."
"I am unwell!"
"I believe Your Highness can still handle it. After finding the right antidote, Your Highness is halfway back to normal and since it's Levi's free day, he does not have a sword on him but Your Highness does."
I was furious.
"Levi," Erwin turned to look at the little man on the couch that I had sensed but not acknowledged due to my anger toward him, "His Highness will take you there."
"And just so you know," I scoffed, "I will be supervising your conversation."
"Very well, Your Highness," Levi glared at me before he walked toward me and then behind me to open the door as he held it open for me, knowing that his friend's life was in my hands.
We walked for a few minutes as he followed me before he broke the silence looming over us.
"Where's my mother?"
"She's with Ymir. If you're not acquainted with her then I'll tell you, she is the commander of my army."
"Why did Your Highness wish to have tea with my mother?"
"I believe that you are not in a position to be asking questions."
Levi clenched his jaw in anger and got prepared to stay silent for the rest of the trip to the dungeon before I broke the silence.
"What do you think about the life you have now?"
"Shitty. I want my friends back."
"What would you think about your life as it is now with your friends present?"
"...," Levi hesitated to answer, "It wouldn't be bad, I guess."
"What would you think is a better life than this?"
"Furlan wanted to live in the capital-"
"I'm not asking what Furlan wants," I turned to face Levi and walked backwards, a habit considered inappropriate from a prince but I couldn't care less, "I'm asking what you want."
"..."
"I won't tell anyone. I didn't tell anyone the last time I promised to keep a secret."
"But why should I tell Your Highness?" Levi questioned, his anger and my anger subsided now.
"Maybe because I'm your sister's cousin?" I smiled like I hadn't threatened him a little while ago.
"I...," Levi hesitated before answering, "I want to open up a tea shop."
What a cute dream.
So he's not one of those ambitious ones, is he?
"I can give you one," I offered, "In the capital."
