Diagnosing Attraction. Part 11

Hey guys!

So this is a change isn't it?!? I've actually uploaded in less than a week! I'm just as surprised as you :P

So once of my best friends comes back home from Uni for the summer tomorrow & I'm so freakin' excited!!! I just wish my exams were over, but I don't finish until the 2nd of June :( But it could be worse!

I haven't got that much to say, so I'll let you get to the new part!

CHAPTER ELEVEN

"What time are you going out with Maddie at?" Dani asked, as we sat in the waiting room, waiting for her check-up with Dr Harper.

"Just after I drop you off at the movies, we're going to have some dinner while you're at the movies." I answered her, looking up from the email on my phone and smiling at her. "I'll come and pick you up when the movie is finished," I'm pretty excited to get out for dinner with Maddie. It's been such a long time since I've been out to a restaurant for a nice meal, I'm really looking forward to it.

"Is my dinner just whatever I get at the cinema?" She laughed and folded her arms across her chest, before looking around the room.

"Of course not Dani, I'm going to make you some dinner when we get home," I rolled my eyes and looked back down at my phone.

I thought that, instead of staying in the house on my own while Dani's at the cinema with a friend, I'd ask Maddie if she wanted to go out. And I'm glad I did, because I've been quite bored at home, especially when Dani goes to bed at night. I love being home, don't get me wrong, but when Dani goes to bed and I'm on my own, I do get bored. But for the past two weeks, I was talking to Dr Harper when Dani was asleep, so it'll be a while until I get used to not having that.

"Look who it is," Dr Harper's voice carried over to us, making me look up from my phone. "It's good to see you guys again," he looked between Dani and I and smiled at us. "Do you guys want to follow me and we'll have a catch-up?"

"Sure," Dani nodded and we both stood up, before following Dr Harper out of the room.

"I'm sure you guys missed the place the past week," he glanced over his shoulder at us and laughed slightly.

"Of course we did," Dani answered him sarcastically, as Dr Harper stopped outside of a consulting room.

"I wouldn't expect anything less," he opened the door and held it open, letting Dani and I walk in first. "Just sit yourself on that bed," he told Dani and closed the door, as I sat down on the chair beside the door. "How have you been feeling the past week then?"

"Really good, my back gets sore sometimes, but not as painful as it was before." She's said a few times that her back as been sore, but I just assumed it was because of the surgery and the radiotherapy, so I just gave her a mild painkiller.

"It's probably still a bit tender from the surgery and your radiotherapy, but if you're taking painkillers, just keep taking them and they should help. If it gets worse after next week, when you're up to three RT sessions, tell Dr Reid and he'll give you a better painkiller."  He explained to her, as he sat down on a stool and rolled over towards Dani. "I know Dr Reid has already checked, but I just want to see for myself how your incision is healing."
