Diagnosing Attraction. Part 39

Hey guys!

Sorry it's so late, but it's been a really crappy week. I had exams all last week (I even had an exam on Saturday!) so I was busy studying for them. Then the night my exams finished, when  was excited and relieved that my exams were over, my dog was run over by a car. So I spent Saturday night at the vets then making sure she was okay when she got home on Sunday. But thank god she's okay :) But obviously I didn't have any time to write this chapter.

I need to take a minute guys... Alan Rickman passed away on Thursday :'( I know it's stupid of me to say, because I never met him, but I was truly devastated and heart broken when my sister told me. You guys know how much I adored him and his role as Professor Snape. I grew up with him playing one of my favourite characters in my favourite films. I still can't actually believe it, I just can't get over it :( So the picture on the side is one of my favourite scenes as Alan as Professor Snape, which has been the lock screen on my phone for a year :)

CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE

"I know you're in work, but I needed to hear someone's voice today besides Greg's or the other doctors," Harrison said before I could even say hello.

"Okay," I drawled out with a laugh, not expecting to answer the phone to that. "Is someone having a bad day at work?" I was actually half expecting him to be ringing me, to ask me if anything happened with Tom, since it was his first day in the school today.

"It's just been one of those days; meetings and consults," he sighed slightly. "How has your day been so far?"

"Yeah it's been good, I'm just about to go to another class," I was really happy that it was coming up to the last period of the day.

"Do you have any plans tonight? I was wondering if you and Dani wanted to come over to my place for dinner," he asked me.

"Maddie and Dan are coming over to our place tonight for dinner," I would love to go to his place, because we haven't seen each other for a few days. "You should come over and have dinner with us," I don't want to turn down his offer, so this was the next best thing.

"Yeah sure, any reason to give you the chance to see my handsome self," he teased me.

"I'm pretty sure I'm being nice, by letting you see me," I rolled my eyes and stood up from my desk. "What time do you think you'll be finished work at?"

"I have a surgery booked in for five, so I'll finish that around half six and, hopefully, I'll be out of here by half seven." He said he always enjoyed carrying out surgery, because it was one of the more complicated aspects of his job.

"They're getting here around half seven, so just head over whenever you can," I was looking forward to having everyone over for dinner now. When Harrison first met Maddie and Dan at my friend's New Year's Eve party, they got along really well. So it'll be nice to have dinner together and with Dani.

"No problem, I'll try and get away as early as I can then, I don't have that much work left to do anyway."

"I know you've missed me and all, but don't finish work early on my account," I joked with him.

"I've been like a lost puppy without seeing you, I don't know how I've been coping," he answered sarcastically. "No it's not like I'm neglecting any of my work, I just don't have a lot on tonight," he reassured me.

"Well I wouldn't mind leaving early," I haven't had a bad day, but it's just felt really long.

"Just keep in mind that you'll see my handsome face in five hours," he tried to cheer me up.
