I start Uni on Monday, which I'm really not looking forward to :( I had two weeks off after my exams and it felt like it only started yesterday!

I haven;t got much else to say really, I've just been binge watching Narcos the past 2 days :P I love it! It's 1.30am & I'm still watching it :D But I'm going to go to bed after this episode :)

CHAPTER FORTY

"We're finally alone," Harrison smiled at me, as I walked back into the living room, after walking Maddie and Dan outside.

"Does their company really bore you that much?" I laughed and walked over to him, after taking off my jumper.

"Of course not," he grabbed my hand and pulled me down on top of him, so I was sitting on his lap facing him. "But out of all of you, I would have to say you edge it with being my favourite person," he smirked slightly.

"Thanks, but I don't think I could say the same about you," I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. "But you're definitely a close third, maybe fourth," I teased him and tangled my fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck.

"Maybe I should leave too then," he pouted slightly, making him look so cute.

"I'd rather you didn't," I leant forward and quickly pressed my lips against his, before kissing along his jaw.

"Then maybe you shouldn't be so mean to me," he chuckled and slipped his hands under my shirt, to rub my lower back.

"Would another drink be better?"

"It would, but I've got to drive home tonight," he smiled at me, when I sat back to look at him.

"What time is your shift tomorrow?" I slipped off of his lap, to sit beside him and rest my legs across his lap.

"I've got a breakfast meeting at half nine," he really didn't look too thrilled about that. "But after that, I'm free to work with patients all day," he finally looked happy about work tomorrow.

"I couldn't work the hours that you do," I laughed and shook my head. "I feel like I work a lot and I only work half eight to four," I only work five days a week. Obviously I do some work after school and over the weekends, but not nearly the amount of work that Harrison or any other doctor or nurse does.

"You get used to it, it's worth it," he reached over and tucked some of my hair behind my ear. "When it's what you've wanted to do since you were eleven, then you'd work any hour of the day or night."

"I get that," I would work more hours if I needed to, but I'm only working with Robbie right now, so I don't really have to work after school or over weekends that much.

"Though I wouldn't mind having your set hours, at least you start and finish the same times every day. Especially when you're working the night shift," he tilted his head to the side and rested it against the back of the couch. "See getting home from work at ten in the morning and going to bed, that really messes you up," he chuckled slightly.

"That's what I never understood, why do you need to work through the night?" I never got why he started work at eight at night, until nine the next morning.

"Its policy that there's a neurologist on premises twenty-four seven and one on call," he started to explain it to me. "Most of your time would be spent in A&E with people just brought in and the doctors are concern have head trauma. The rest of the time, you're making sure that the in-patients are doing okay."
