CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX

"I'm bored of your company already, I don't think I can do dinner with you as well," I told Harrison in a serious tone.

"I don't really want to do dinner either, but we did agree that we were going to try and get on better." He looked down at me and smiled, as we walked through the carpark and towards the supermarket.

"But we've been together since twelve this afternoon," I groaned and leaned against him.

"Don't worry, I can feel we're actually starting to like each other," he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and hugged me to his side. "I'll even let you choose what we have for dinner," he moved his arm from my shoulders, so he could get a shopping cart.

"Thanks," I laughed and put my bag on the seat in the cart, as we were walking to the supermarket. "Dani isn't coming for dinner tonight by the way, there's an open night for pupils and their parents, who are thinking of coming to the school next year. So she's helping out at that, but she's getting dropped off at your place later," I told him.

"And you say you don't like me, Dani would rather be in school than come to my place for dinner," he laughed and leant against the cart.

"Yeah, she really doesn't like you," I looked up at him and smiled playfully. "No she wanted to come, but she had signed up to help out before she went back into the hospital," I know she would rather have been having dinner with us.

"Sure she can just have some food when she gets dropped off," he said and we started walking along the first aisle. "How come you aren't helping out at the school then?"

"I was supposed to, but even though I don't like you all that much, I'd rather be here than there." I was supposed to me showing potential students and their parents around the school, but I got someone to cover when Harrison and I made plans.

"I can be decent company sometimes, I'm not totally boring," he put his hand on my lower back and rubbed it slightly.

"You have your moments," I laughed and leant back slightly into his hand. "How's work going; are you still stressed about that transfer you're doing?"

"Thankfully it's nearly done," he told me on Friday that he was getting stressed about transferring one of his patients. He doesn't like transferring his patients anyway, but this patient was moving to a completely different part of the country, so Harrison needed to make sure everything was transferred and done right.

"What does Greg say about it?" I know he won't tell me anything about Tom if I ask him, so I don't want to ask him about it, but I still like to know how work is going for him.

"He's happy with how it's going, he's just checking it over and will sign it off hopefully by Tuesday at the latest." He took his hand away from my back and picked something off the shelf, before leaning over and putting it down in the cart.

"I'm sure you'll get it done soon, we'll have to go out when it's done," I looked up at him and smiled. He is so stressed about getting this done, while seeing all his patients, so he needs a night to relax.
